Meet "Tlhap II’nd Man" The Illest Kid Outta Maftown

Background & Foreground

Phenyo Kgaffe known as Tlhap II’nd Man, the Creator of Mediaville Entertainment hails from a small town in South Africa named Mafikeng, but better known as Maftown. He was born in 1992 and has always been a creative young mind from the age of 13 and it has all payed out to make him who he is to the eyes of the Public in South Africa, African continents, Germany, England and even the United States of America. He stands out as the youngest and most efficient Graphic Designer and Producer, with his upcoming rap career with a creative mindset of a professional in this game in South Africa. Tlhap II’nd Man has had too many people looking down on where he’d be today, but he stuck close to the footsteps of his role model Erica Wright known as Erykah Badu – The Soul Queen of the World, by the means of using his Soul to accomplish most things... The name Tlhap landed on him back in 2006, which means “Take” in a Greek language. He has established him self very well into the Fame scene by the means of only Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/tlhapman), Facebook.com (http://www.facebook.com/tlhap) with a group with thousands of members who follow him and interaction with people over the world by doing media-lancing for them, through all this he has fitted in as similar to American Celebrities, by reaching fame through the internet. In 2009 he had to pull out of school for unforeseen reasons, but to him it came as a chance to focus more on where he stands in the limelight he is trying to reach out to. In that year he worked with Mo’ Molemi on his album named “REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE” as he produced a thriller named Lefika-Town feat. Spikey of Lyv Records. As time moved on that year he extended his work out to more celebrities such as A.K.A of the I.V League for the South African HYPE Hip Hop Awards – as you know, he even walked away with the award, with votes boosted by the Poster created by Tlhap II’nd Man. He has done a few international graphics for big companies as Style Pump Records in Florida in the USA, and Major artists and Models such as Daria Isabella Omar, etc. His fame never ended there, as him and Lebaka FrIIman decided to create a Clothing Label which is still under construction named Swagg Liveson (http://www.questionmarkmag.com/?p=3881), an urban street wear aimed to put a new meaning to swagger. They are known as the SLO Boys – stunners who host teenage parties in Johannesburg & Maftown, Photo shoots leaving their female fans striving to be on their shoots as they gain a bit of fame through the SLO Boys and Crazy streewear designs with swag dripping. These are just a few things we had to mention about this Young upcoming Celebrity.

The Vision

Tlhap II’nd Man aims to be recognised worldwide than aiming to being known regionally, as he barely cares about his Mafikeng roots, because people tend to categorise Mafikeng celebrities as the upcoming HHP’s, Mo Molemi’s, Tuks’s, Morafe’s and etc. He says he doesn’t represent for Motswako nor the Tswana regions or the upcoming artists but represents to be more like an American Mogul who hails from South Africa – “Just as Charlize Theron or a broke-ass human from another country and has made it big in the States, why cant I make it?” He asks. Besides that his vision is to keep on making his work more efficient and worldwide-based than his competitors through his Graphic Designing, Producing and his Rapping so he can sit on his own thrown, his own league and feast on his success as he makes a contentment-full base of inspiration to his young upcoming media moguls’. He inspires many in these fields and shall continue doing so. Secondly he intends to step up on his Internet marketing so he can get to his goals with more enthusiasm and fan bases around the world as he has been doing on Faceboo.com and Instant Messengers. He’s taking his career with a different approach is what he says.

Tlhap II’nd Man is back in school now and his working extra hard to keep his name on the map by multitasking through everything he does.

Fat Joe Returns With 'The Darkside' This Summer

E1 Music has confirmed the signing of seasoned Bronx rapper and Terror Squad leader Fat Joe, who will drop a new album The Dark Side this summer.

Joe’s last offering with 2009’s Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 (J.O.S.E. 2), released on EMI subsidiary Imperial Records.

It has been 17 years since Fat Joe made his debut with the 1993 boom bap single “Flow Joe,” and the album Represent.

From initial humble beginnings with the critically-acclaimed Diggin’ In the Crates crew, the self-proclaimed Don Cartagena has gone on to sell over 2.5 million records.

E1 president Alan Grunblatt was one of the parties who brokered the Bronx emcee’s first deal with Relativity, and expects fans to be impressed with Joe’s latest work.

“I originally signed Fat Joe to his first record deal and was blown away by the new material Joe played me,” Grunblatt explained. “Fate has brought us back together; trust me when I tell you he’s got bangers for days!”

As an artist that’s experienced both major and indie label situations, Joe revealed his choice rested with his trust in Alan Grunblatt’s previous track record and vision.

Also, the Terror Squad founder pointed to E1’s success in marketing Hip-Hop acts with devoted fan bases.

“It’s been a long time coming. I have a long history with Alan Grunblatt and everyone at E1,” Fat Joe detailed in a statement. “Although it’s a small label, they have the best marketing and promotion staff in the hip hop game and I’m looking forward to working with them on my new album, The Dark Side.”

The first single, “Slow Down,” features Young Jeezy and will debut soon in urban radio outlets.

The Dark Side is scheduled to be released on June 29th.

Drake's Debut Album, "Thank Me Later" Drops May 25th

It’s official. The most anticipated hip-hop album of the year finally has a release date.

Drake’s debut Thank Me Later will arrive on May 25. The Canadian singer-rapper has been in the studio with a who’s who list of collaborators including Jay-Z (“Light Up”), Kanye West, The-Dream (“Shut It Down”), Sean Garrett, and Boi-1da, who produced the first single “Over.”

The project, originally scheduled for an early spring release, has taken a little longer than expected as Drizzy strives for perfection. “This is my first album and it takes a lot for me to commit to a song and be like, ‘I like this enough that I’m gonna put it on the album,’” he told Rap-Up.com. “It’s gotta be something that I feel is timeless and is better than anything that I’ve ever done.”

Drake will travel across the country performing material from the album on his first headlining trek, “The Away From Home Tour,” kicking off April 9 at Penn State University, and wrapping in Houston on May 20, a few days before the record’s release.

“Over” is currently No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, while a video for the song, directed by Anthony Mandler, is set to debut in the coming weeks.

50 Cent Paid $75,000 To Say One Word At Grand Opening Of UK Club

He wanted to get Rich or Die Tryin', and it's fair to say 50 Cent has achieved his goal.

We hear the hardman rapper raked in £50,000 for uttering one word at a launch party on Thursday.

And the word in question? "Hey."

Yep, that's £16.6K per letter. Incredible! Fiddy - who is in the UK on his Before I Self Destruct tour - was wooed by the owners of flash new Liverpool club Bamboo to attend its opening night.

And the extravagance didn't stop at his super pay packet - he also had a budget-busting rider to match.

Once he'd been ferried by a Hummer Heaven stretch limo to the city's first seven-star club, his entourage had magnums of Cristal and Dom Perignon champagne on tap - served up by two models.

"People thought 50 Cent might perform a track or two, given the massive fee, but he just greeted the crowd with a 'Hey' and got back to his two personally requested ladies, who were lavishing booze on him."

Is Beyonce Pregnant?

Beyonce pregnant? The latest from the rumor mill, claims Jay-Z and Beyonce are expecting their first child together. The AJC hints to the rumor being true as they claim Beyonce hasn't been seen drinking, even saying at a recent party w/ Jermaine Dupri "Jay-Z sipped a Corona and the Mrs. enjoyed a refreshing Smartwater spiked with raspberry iced tea flavored Crystal Light."

Maybe Jay-Z impregnated Beyonce due to mounting pressure from Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles? During a recent interview Tina said she was praying for a grand child from Beyonce, when Beyonce was asked the now infamous question of, when will you have children.

Beyonce: "I have time. I have so many things that I love to do and so many things that I’ve done. So, I feel like, when it’s supposed to happen, it will...”

Tina Knowles: (cutting Beyonce off) “I’m Praying For It Now!!!!”

Rev Run's 15 Year Old Son Diggy Simmons Signs Deal With Atlantic Records

With his mixtape (The First Flight) and countless other singles/remixes (Star Is Born, Point to Prove, Set Me Free) being recognized by fans, yet overlooked by major media outlets, it took the release of his remix to Drake's, "Over" (Just The Beginning), that eventually got Daniel "Diggy" Simmons love shown by said outlets for being "the first" to drop something over the newly then released track. Although people were receptive of his remake of the new single, Diggy still had more hearts and ears to capture and win over, with the goal of letting everyone know that him creating music was not a hobby but a passion and it was something he is great at.

Going back into the studio, the young fashion icon spit a crazy sixteen over Nas' "Made You Look", and unleashed "Flow Stoopid". Linking up with PhilTheGod to create a visual along with the track, Flow Stoopid, was the hit that finally got Diggy more love then anticipated. With cosigns by Lupe Fiasco and Swizz Beatz via twitter and blog postings by Kanye West and Common, Diggy EARNED his buzz that has major companies, labels and the internet wanting to get familiar with him.

Last week the buzz generated rumors that Atlantic Records signed Diggy Simmons, a small statement of denial was released due to at that time it not being true but as of Monday, March 22, 2010, the day after Diggy's 15th birthday, the deal has been sealed; Atlantic Records has signed Daniel "Diggy" Simmons!!

"For all of those who have supported the project thus far, you are MUCH appreciated as this has been a FUN and VERY successful journey. It really does not stop with getting signed, more GREAT news to come SOON!"

Suge Knight Wanted For Robbing And Assaulting Yukmouth

Suge Knight is a wanted man once again -- the former Death Row Records head honcho allegedly beat and robbed rapper Yukmouth last night ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Sources say it all went down at around 10 PM at a Ralph's supermarket in the San Fernando Valley.

According to a law enforcement source, Suge and roughly 10 members of his posse allegedly beat up Yukmouth and then took $92,000 worth of jewelry from him.

Sources say Suge and his entourage are suspects and cops want to question them.

We're also told there's a previous misdemeanor warrant out for Suge's arrest -- which makes it unlikely he'll visit the police department.

Soulja Boy & Chris Brown Take Shots at each Other on Twitter

The last time we heard from Chris Brown was when he begged his remaining fans to help him resuscitate his failed career by calling into the radio stations to get them to play his records.

When that failed, he created another Twitter page (after deleting his first page) and begged his fans to follow him again. Chris Brown is so deep in denial that when his fans didn’t rush to follow him en masse on Twitter, he promised to go live on Ustream if they would just help him get to 100,000 followers (which they dutifully did, but only because they pitied the fool).

With all that begging and pleading going on, you had to figure that Chris Brown’s peers/competition were waiting in the wings to throw rocks at him. Rapper Souljaboy Tellem took the first pitch tweeting this nonsense about Bow Wow and CB’s followers not equaling his 2 million plus followers.

Bow Wow ignored the taunt (I think) but Chris impulsively tweeted back:

Mashonda Says Swizz Beatz & Alicia Keys 'Deserve Each Other'

Swizz Beatz showed up on the arm of Alicia Keys at a New York party earlier this week and said his divorce from estranged wife Mashonda was nearly finalized, and some other things.

Mashonda has come out to clear the air ... again.

The drama between the pair have been going on since early 2008, when Swizz and Mashonda announced their separation.

While things seemed to have calmed down as of late, once Mashonda heard that the producer was freely prancing around town with Keys, she chose to comment.

In a Interview, she said her divorce is still pending and is far from over, even though she'd like it to be. She points out that she and Swizzy are still legally married, and criticized both he and Keys for carrying on a relationship while papers are not finalized.

"I believe the two of them are meant for each other," Mashonda said. "Only a certain type of woman would sleep with a married man, and only a certain type of man would abandon his family for another woman. I guess they are 'equals.' Those were his words on that video."

Swizz Beatz recently told DJ Enuff that he never had an affair with Keys before separating from his wife, but Mashonda says ... yea right.

"Our marriage and our family was never respected, nor has been a concern to the parties involved," Mashonda said. "Both of them have been extremely determine to disregard the fact that I am a human being with feelings, a mother, and the woman whom was there when this man was sick, down, and without money or fame. Amazing how people forget!"

Swizz and Keys reported began dating back in 2008. But, they made their first public appearance as a couple at a red carpet event Monday (March 15) in New York City.

Lady Gaga Wants Her Vagina Signed by Boy George

At a recent concert Lady Gaga asked 80's pop star Boy George to sign her lady parts. Boy George was pleased with their brief interaction stating "She was very sweet, she asked me to sign her vagina." George opted to sign Gaga's hat instead of her va-jay-jay.

Lady Gaga has stated in the past how much she idolizes the pop icon who is known for his androgynous look and golden voice that mad him an 80's chart topper

'It was very brief when I met her, there were a lot of people in the room, it was all a bit chaotic, I haven;t been around that kind of circus in years." Boy Georg told The Mirror. "I was like, 'oh my god!' You know, I've been that woman, so it was very interesting to be on the outside looking in.".

The FBI Is Spying On You: On Facebook, Twitter & Myspace Using Fake Accounts

The Feds are on Facebook. And MySpace, LinkedIn and Twitter, too.
U.S. law enforcement agents are following the rest of the Internet world into popular social-networking services, going undercover with false online profiles to communicate with suspects and gather private information, according to an internal Justice Department document that offers a tantalizing glimpse of issues related to privacy and crime-fighting.

Think you know who's behind that “friend” request? Think again. Your new “friend” just might be the FBI.

The document, obtained in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, makes clear that U.S. agents are already logging on surreptitiously to exchange messages with suspects, identify a target's friends or relatives and browse private information such as postings, personal photographs and video clips.

Among other purposes: Investigators can check suspects' alibis by comparing stories told to police with tweets sent at the same time about their whereabouts. Online photos from a suspicious spending spree — people posing with jewelry, guns or fancy cars — can link suspects or their friends to robberies or burglaries.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a San Francisco-based civil liberties group, obtained the Justice Department document when it sued the agency and five others in federal court. The 33-page document underscores the importance of social networking sites to U.S. authorities. The foundation said it would publish the document on its Web site on Tuesday.

With agents going undercover, state and local police coordinate their online activities with the Secret Service, FBI and other federal agencies in a strategy known as “deconfliction” to keep out of each other's way.

“You could really mess up someone's investigation because you're investigating the same person and maybe doing things that are counterproductive to what another agency is doing,” said Detective Frank Dannahey of the Rocky Hill, Conn., Police Department, a veteran of dozens of undercover cases.

Treasure trove of leads, evidence
A decade ago, agents kept watch over AOL and MSN chat rooms to nab sexual predators. But those text-only chat services are old-school compared with today's social media, which contain mountains of personal data, photographs, videos and audio clips — a potential treasure trove of evidence for cases of violent crime, financial fraud and much more.

The Justice Department document, part of a presentation given in August by top cybercrime officials, describes the value of Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn and other services to government investigators. It does not describe in detail the boundaries for using them.

“It doesn't really discuss any mechanisms for accountability or ensuring that government agents use those tools responsibly,” said Marcia Hoffman, a senior attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

The group sued in Washington to force the government to disclose its policies for using social networking sites in investigations, data collection and surveillance.

The foundation also obtained an Internal Revenue Service document that instructs employees on how to use to use Internet tools — including social networking sites — to investigate taxpayers. The document states that IRS employees are barred from using deception or creating fake accounts to get information, a directive the group says is commendable.

Covert investigations on social-networking services are legal and governed by internal rules, according to Justice Department officials. But they would not say what those rules are.

The Justice Department document raises a legal question about a social-media bullying case in which U.S. prosecutors charged a Missouri woman with computer fraud for creating a fake MySpace account — effectively the same activity that undercover agents are doing, although for different purposes.

The woman, Lori Drew, helped create an account for a fictitious teen boy on MySpace and sent flirtatious messages to a 13-year-old neighborhood girl in his name. The girl hanged herself in October 2006, in a St. Louis suburb, after she received a message saying the world would be better without her.

A jury in California, where MySpace has its servers, convicted Drew of three misdemeanor counts of accessing computers without authorization because she was accused of violating MySpace's rules against creating fake accounts. But last year a judge overturned the verdicts, citing the vagueness of the law.

“If agents violate terms of service, is that ‘otherwise illegal activity'?” the document asks. It doesn't provide an answer.

Facebook's rules, for example, specify that users “will not provide any false personal information on Facebook, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.” Twitter's rules prohibit its users from sending deceptive or false information. MySpace requires that information for accounts be “truthful and accurate.”

Just like the real world
A former U.S. cybersecurity prosecutor, Marc Zwillinger, said investigators should be able to go undercover in the online world the same way they do in the real world, even if such conduct is barred by a company's rules. But there have to be limits, he said.

In the face-to-face world, agents can't impersonate a suspect's spouse, child, parent or best friend. But online, behind the guise of a social-networking account, they can.

“This new situation presents a need for careful oversight so that law enforcement does not use social networking to intrude on some of our most personal relationships,” said Zwillinger, whose firm does legal work for Yahoo and MySpace.

Undercover operations aren't necessary if the suspect is reckless. Federal authorities nabbed a man wanted on bank fraud charges after he started posting Facebook updates about the fun he was having in Mexico.

Maxi Sopo, a native of Cameroon living in the Seattle area, apparently slipped across the border into Mexico in a rented car last year after learning that federal agents were investigating the alleged scheme. The agents initially could find no trace of him on social media sites, and they were unable to pin down his exact location in Mexico. But they kept checking and eventually found Sopo on Facebook.

While Sopo's online profile was private, his list of friends was not. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Scoville began going through the list and was able to learn where Sopo was living. Mexican authorities arrested Sopo in September. He is awaiting extradition to the U.S.

The Justice document describes how Facebook, MySpace and Twitter have interacted with federal investigators: Facebook is “often cooperative with emergency requests,” the government said. MySpace preserves information about its users indefinitely and even stores data from deleted accounts for one year. But Twitter's lawyers tell prosecutors they need a warrant or subpoena before the company turns over customer information, the document says.

“Will not preserve data without legal process,” the document says under the heading, “Getting Info From Twitter ... the bad news.”

Twitter did not respond to a request for comment for this story.

The chief security officer for MySpace, Hemanshu Nigam, said MySpace doesn't want to be the company that stands in the way of an investigation. “That said, we also want to make sure that our users' privacy is protected and any data that's disclosed is done under proper legal process,” Nigam said.

MySpace requires a search warrant for private messages less than six months old, according to the company.

Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes said the company has put together a handbook to help law enforcement officials understand “the proper ways to request information from Facebook to aid investigations.”

The Justice document includes sections about its own lawyers. For government attorneys taking cases to trial, social networks are a “valuable source of info on defense witnesses,” they said. “Knowledge is power. ... Research all witnesses on social networking sites.”

But the government warned prosecutors to advise their own witnesses not to discuss cases on social media sites and to “think carefully about what they post.”

It also cautioned federal law enforcement officials to think prudently before adding judges or defense counsel as “friends” on these services.

“Social networking and the courtroom can be a dangerous combination,” the government said.

Nas & Damian Marley album "Distant Relatives" Releasing May 18 [Tracklist Inside]

Nas and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley are proud to announce the release of their highly-anticipated collaborative studio album, Distant Relatives (Universal Republic/Universal Music Canada) on May 18. Featuring the signature instrumentation and musicianship of Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley with the hard-hitting beats and lyrics of Nas, the album title refers not only to the bond between the artists, but the connection to their African ancestry, which inspired the album both musically and lyrically.

Throughout the course of their musical careers, the duo has always admired each other’s style. Since first meeting in 1996 the two artists have shared a mutual respect and camaraderie that was most recently showcased on the track “Road to Zion,” from Damian’s critically acclaimed album, Welcome to Jamrock. After having such a positive experience working together, they have now joined forces again for Distant Relatives. In their latest collaboration, Nas and Damian trace hip-hop’s roots to Africa, where the genre originated as a vital form of cultural expression and was then transported by the slave trade to the Caribbean and the American colonies. It blossomed a half century ago in the dance halls of Kingston, Jamaica, and soon migrated to the park jams and recreational centers of New York City, where the culture became known as hip-hop. This evolution forms the basis of the Distant Relatives project which, in addition to the album, also includes a documentary film, performances and a series of public discussions, the first of which took place in conjunction with National Geographic Live in Washington, DC last December.

"Damian and Nas have made a groundbreaking album that combines the depth and vision of these two artists with a seminal musical and cultural thread of multiple generations," stated Monte Lipman, President and CEO of Universal Republic Records. "We're thrilled to play a role on what's certain to be another pivotal album for both artists and one of the more unique collaborative efforts in recent years."

The partnership between the two artists is sure to amaze with an album encompassing 14 tracks including the first singles "As We Enter" and "Strong Will Continue”. The album was produced by Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and also features several guest appearances from Joss Stone and Lil Wayne, who appear on the track "Generation," K’NAAN on “Africa Must Wake Up” and Tribal War,” and Stephen Marley on “Leaders” and “In His Own Words.”

Nas and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley plan to hit the road following the release of their album, with a prelude to the tour at SXSW on March 17.

P.Diddy in a Bid Acquire a Football Team in U.K

RAP star P DIDDY plans to put the Cristal into Crystal Palace with a shock bid for the struggling London football team.

The hip-hop mogul has decided he wants to be the next filthy rich foreign owner of an English club.

And Diddy, real name Sean Combs, is planning to splash some of his reported £360million on the Selhurst Park side who gave Sun columnist IAN WRIGHT his big break in football.

The bankrupt club is in chaos, facing relegation from the Coca-Cola Championship after having ten points docked for going into administration.

Former owner SIMON JORDAN was no stranger to the jet-set - so at least the poor fans are used to flamboyant playboy owners with a taste for the high life.

Diddy's swoop for The Eagles would bring some much needed bling back to south east London.

Last night his UK spokesman confirmed the multi-millionaire is in the market for Palace. He also added that the New Yorker has his eye on another big club.

Bankrupt

A source said: "Diddy was in London meeting football fixers a couple of weeks ago. The finance is in place, he's just deciding who he thinks he'll make a bid for.

"Portsmouth were mentioned but he thought Palace were a better idea.

"He could cover their debt and bankroll a return to the Premier League. He liked the name as well."

English football is big business and I'm surprised it's taken the loaded rappers so long to get involved.

I only live round the corner from Palace and I'd be happy to show Diddy the best pubs in Forest Hill and East Dulwich.

He'd be welcome to a can of Irn-Bru at Smart Towers too.

There's some Selhurst Park history that I can fill him in on.

It was the scene of ERIC CANTONA's kung-fu kick on a fan. DAVID BECKHAM scored his stunning goal from the halfway line for Man Utd when Wimbledon were sharing the ground with Palace.

Speaking of Becks, the crocked star's commercial success in America with LA Galaxy must have had an impact on Diddy. But I think he should be looking north of the border to spend his pennies.

If he bought my team Hibs, he could be P Hibby and park his yacht in the docks in Leith.

DMX Sentenced to 6 Months

Rapper DMX appeared in a Phoenix, Arizona courtroom on March 16 to face charges that he violated his probation last week, by using cocaine.

DMX, 39, was sentenced to six months in prison for failing a drug test last June according to prosecutor. He was also ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.

The troubled rapper could be released in as little as six months, since he's already been accepted by Dr. Drew Pinsky's Pasadena Recovery Center, although he's not expected to be featured on the show.

DMX has been held without bond in the 4th Avenue jail since last Tuesday (March 9), after he was arrested by probate officers for regularly using the drug over the past nine months.

Simmons had been isolated from other inmates since being incarcerated in a Phoenix jail overseen by Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who bills himself the toughest sheriff in America.

Arpaio called for DMX to serve time in prison, because the rapper has been arrested five times in Arizona, on charges ranging from drug possession and identity theft to animal cruelty.

“Rappers seem to go to jail quite frequently,” Arpaio stated. “Why is he treated different, because he's DMX and made some movies? If he stays in the jail long enough I'll decide whether or not to put him in the drug prevention education program."

The rapper spent 90 days in Arpaio’s Phoenix based "Tent City" prison, where inmates are forced to wear pink-stripped prison outfits.

Arpaio himself is under intense scrutiny and faces at least a dozen civil lawsuits for abusing his power against citizens, Hispanics and even Superior Court judges in the state.

Trey Songz, Young Jeezy & Jay-Z To Form Super Group

R&B singer Trey Songz is topping his successful year off with a worldwide tour with rappers Young Jeezy and Jay-Z and since then they've transformed into The Mob Squad. Each person has different roles for the tour and Songz knows that his main role is to attract and please the ladies.

"I'm there for the ladies. I'm bringing more ladies out to you, Hov. Each brings something different to the table. Jeezy got the streets and Jay-Z is the blueprint. Simple and plain."

Trey Songz mentions rapper Jay-Z as being a major influence on his music career and adds that it's a dream come true to be touring with him.

"Even before I knew that singing was something that I would be doing as a career, I would listen to Jay-Z all day. Even though I'm an R&B singer, he's one of my main inspirations, so to be on tour with him years later is surreal and definitely a testament to what hard work and persistence can get you."

Trey Songz addresses the rumors that he and the other two members of The Mob Squad will be collaborating for a track, something that he is open to doing.

"We've spoken about collaborations -- Jay, Jeezy, and I -- and hopefully it all works out. I'mma do my part. I got a record to play Jay. We'll see what it is."

According to Yele Haiti's 2008 tax return, which was posted this week by the Smoking Gun, the charity paid Khatou-Chevassus $105,000 as an independent contractor in 2008 for "program development." That amounts to roughly one-third of all the money Yele spent that year on management and general expenses.

So what did she do for that money? Khatou-Chevassus is currently listed on Yele's web site as the organization's vice president. But according to five sources familiar with Yele's operations, in 2008 she served as Jean's personal assistant—working on his commercial endeavors as well as his charitable ones—and was involved romantically with the former Fugees star.

"She worked for Wyclef on all Wyclef matters," says one source who has worked with Jean in the past. "She did whatever Wyclef needed that day, whether it was related to Yele or not. She would do things like book flights, and she wasn't very good at it. It's a shame that she made that much money." The source said Khatou-Chevassus' salary amounted to more than three times what Suzie Sylvain, Yele Haiti's dedicated program director who is credited by many Yele Haiti insiders with actually keeping the organization running, was paid.

"Everyone knows they were in a relationship," says another source familiar with Yele Haiti. "A dozen people, including me, saw and knew. It wasn't a secret." Jean is married, but he has said in the past that he has an open relationship with his wife.

Jean has a long history of using Yele Haiti's money for his own commercial gain. In 2005, 2006, and 2007, the foundation paid out a total of $410,000 to commercial entities controlled in whole or in part by Wyclef, including a whopping $250,000 for advertising time on a Haitian television station he co-owns. According to internal financial statements obtained by Gawker in January, Jean didn't contribute a single dollar to Yele Haiti's American operation during the year he founded it, and its founding executive director resigned because he "saw hundreds of thousands of dollars going to business needs and nothing going to the charity, when it seemed that part of Wyclef's new PR strategy focuses on his charitable endeavors." In 2006, he demanded a $100,000 fee to perform at a Yele Haiti fundraiser designed to raise money for his own hometown. The event was canceled in part because securing Jean's participation was too expensive.

As the Smoking Gun noted, Khatou-Chevassus seems to have done some modeling in the past. The photo on the right above was taken at a 2009 reception she organized in New York for Prince Edward's International Award Association. (Captions from photographs taken at the event that we found online identify her as the CEO of Carte Blanche International, but we're almost certain that's an error. All of the people we spoke to who know Khatou-Chevassus say it's preposterous that she'd be a credit card executive; we've called Carte Blanche to ask.)

A call to Khatou-Chevassus and an e-mail to Yele Haiti's publicist were not immediately returned.

UPDATE: A fifth source has confirmed the romantic relationship.

Fraud Or Rising Star? Unknown Boston Rapper Lands At # 1 On iTunes. Beating Lil Wayne, Feuling Speculation He Bought His Own Records

You can fool some of the people some of the time, but this seems ridiculous.

An unknown rapper out of Boston named Sam Adams has sent shock waves through the hip hop community by outselling the likes of hip hop titan Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled with his debut EP 'Boston Boy'.

Speculation has been further fueled due to the fact the majority of his sales have come from one region.

Adams and his team have quickly come to his defense by releasing a 3,500-page document reporting each individual sale sorted by region.

He recently spoke to the Boston Herald about the controversy.

I know there has been a considerable amount of controversy about my album release and hitting No. 1,” Adams said. “In response I’d like to say that the numbers are legit . . . In this day and age where numbers are tracked, I’m shocked people would accuse me of buying my own records. Sometimes people don’t want others to succeed.

In this business overnight success stories are very rare. For every Drake you have maybe 1,000 other rappers who have to grind it out just to get a mixtape hosted by a reputable DJ like DJ Whoo Kid or DJ Drama.

Adams meanwhile is meeting with executives at Warner Bros, Universal Records and Atlantic based on his quick ascent to the top of the charts.

This is all coming from a rapper who admittedly just started rapping seven months ago.

The MC does have his defenders though. Boston DJ Mr Peter Parker told the Boston Phoenix.

"Everybody is pissed the f*ck off because Sam Adams is blowing up and they're not. The bottom line is that he found his fan base, and now he's riding it as far as he can."

Sam himself says he's shocked by his quick rise to fame adding,

We were really suprised we jumped so fast,” he said. “Word-of-mouth is an amazing thing. People hear my stuff and like it and pass it on. It’s pretty perfect how everything worked out.”

As of yesterday afternoon, “Driving Me Crazy” was No. 8 and Adams’ album was No. 3 on their respective hip-hop charts. “I Hate College,” Sam’s auto-tuned remix of Asher Roth’s 2009 hit “I Love College,” has been viewed on YouTube more than 1 million times.

Lil Wayne Barred From Signing Autographs In Jail

Lil Wayne won’t have to worry about being pestered for autographs in jail. Officials have enacted a no-autograph policy for Weezy while he does his time.

The Correction Officer’s Benevolent Association tells TMZ that a no-autograph policy has been put into effect during the rapper’s stint behind bars. “Lil Wayne is not a celebrity in here,” says the rep.

Although he may be accustomed to a lavish lifestyle, Weezy won’t be getting preferential treatment nor has he requested any at Rikers Island.

On Monday, the “A Milli” MC began serving his year-long sentence on attempted gun possession charges, but could be released in as soon as eight months for good behavior.
