Lawyer Says Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond Did Not Admit To Involvement In Tupac Shooting
Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond's lawyer joins his publicist in denying that the convicted Rap manager admitted to involvement in the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur.
Earlier this week, Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond's publicist vehemently denied that Rosemond admitted to orchestrating the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur.
Journalist Chuck Phillips reported than Rosemond made the admission in 2011 during a proffer session with the government, which allows suspects to confess to crimes in exchange for an agreement that the confession would not be used to prosecute them.
MTV News reports that Gerald Shargel, Rosemond's attorney, is now saying that Rosemond made no such admission.
"The statement by the prosecutor that Jimmy Rosemond had confessed or admitted to being involved in the 1994 shooting of Tupac is totally false," he said. "He categorically and emphatically denied that he had participation or role in that shooting and that was clear from the outset."
"Her statement was positively and absolutely false whether intentional, or not intentional. I think not intentional," said Shargel of the prosecutor. "She was not the prosecutor who sat in on any of the proffer sessions with Mr. Rosemond."
"We stand by it to this day," he added.

Mary J. Blige Says Appearing In Burger King Ad Was A "Mistake"
Mary J. Blige admits that participating in the controversial Burger King campaign
Mary J. Blige caused controversy when she appeared in a Burger King commercial, inciting reactions that deemed the advertisement as racist. MJB finally broke her silence on the controversy during an appearance on Hot 97’s The Angie Martinez Show, explaining that the backlash to the ad “broke my heart.”
"I just felt like there was no need for me to say anything, because everyone was crucifying me and going crazy,” she said. "I pulled back and watched everyone and everything, [because] it's just something that I thought would've been a great branding opportunity. I went online to listen to the remix that I did with Fat Joe, I'm looking for 'Another Round,' and all I could see is Burger King, chicken and buffoonery, and it just broke my heart.”
She explained that she understood why people would react to the commercial in that way, but was offended that some were making nasty comments about her when she wasn’t the culprit. Blige considered it a lesson in who her true friends really are.
"I understood the laughter and the jokes and the stuff that was happening — you're supposed to do that when something like that happens — but the thing that hurt me is when people were starting to say vicious, negative things that didn't have [anything] to do with that," she continued. "It exposed everyone and everything in my life and showed me who my friends are."
The Queen of Hip Hop/Soul acknowledges that it was a mistake for her to participate in the campaign, and that she was “crushed” by it for several days.
"It was a mistake and I did it because I thought it was something that wouldn't come out like that. No one had mercy, and it's cool, it was a learning experience. It hurt my feelings, it crushed me for two days, but after those two days, I got up and I kept going. I want to apologize to everyone that was offended or thought I would do something so disrespectful to our culture. I would never do anything like that purposely."
Machine Gun Kelly Reveals That He Hated "Invincible," Says People Were Fired Because Of The Song
Machine Gun Kelly speaks on feeling forced to make "Invincible," expresses his distaste for cookie cutter songs.
Despite the success of Machine Gun Kelly’s “Invincible” featuring singer Ester Dean, MGK revealed in an interview with WILD 94.1 that he initially hated the song. And although he didn’t share the specifics he even went on to explain that there was some kind of contest between himself and the other rappers on Interscope involving the song.
“First off, I hated the song when I first did it because it was brought to me by corporate America,” Machine Gun Kelly revealed. “So basically Jimmy Iovine was like hey, first off they didn’t even come to me with the song, it was like a contest between the Interscope rappers like Yelawolf, Kendrick Lamar and myself, which I found out. It sucked and I hated it.”
During the interview Machine Gun Kelly explained that he was most offended by the fact that he wasn’t able to work with Ester Dean and producer Alex Da Kid directly on the song. Instead Dean’s hook was sent to him already completed.
“I don’t operate like that. I hate cookie cutter songs,” said Machine Gun Kelly. “You know like B.o.B with ‘Airplanes’ and the ‘Love The Way You Lie’ thing. You weren’t there making the song with each other in the studio. It was presented to you. I write all my hooks…So when I got this hook I was offended. You guys think I’m a cookie cutter artist. I don’t work like that. And I’ve never talked to Ester Dean in my life. I’ve never talked to the producer who’s Alex Da Kid who makes those cookie cutter records.”
The rapper had a bit of a change of heart in regards to making "Invincible" when he found out that people were actually being fired because of his unwillingness to go in the studio and complete the song.
“We’re in Detroit they call, they booked a studio. You have to do this. You have, have to, have to, have to. Like people are getting fired. And people really were getting fired over it,” MGK explained. “Cause they’re like, ‘You can’t make this petty new artist on our label go do a song? And this is the boss asking for it?’”
Rhymefest Blasts Chief Keef, Interscope Over Promoting Violent Music
Rhymefest takes on Chief Keef and his label Interscope over the Chicago upstart's violent lyrics.
Earlier this month, Chief Keef shocked fans with the news that he had signed to Interscope with a publishing deal under Dr. Dre. But not everyone's celebrating the 17 year old rapper's success; now, in a recent guest post with Analog Girls In a Digital World, fellow Chi-Town emcee Rhymefest speaks on why Chief Keef's music is a detriment to society.
In the post, Rhymefest described Keef as an intellectual bomb that misrepresents African-Americans. He also blasted Keef's new-found home Interscope and the major radio stations that continue to endorse and make a profit off of his music. 'Fest continued on, lashing out at Waka Flocka Flame and Rick Ross, whom he said share equal blame in poisoning the minds of the youth.
"Chief Keef is a 'bomb,' he represents the senseless savagery that white people see when the news speaks of Chicago violence," he said. "A bomb has no responsibility or blame, it does what it was created to do: DESTROY! Notice, no one is talking about the real culprits, the bomb maker or the pilot who is deploying this deadly force (labels, radio stations). It's easier to blame the bomb...who is bank rolling this operation and why? This could only be described as an opportunity for this young man if he was receiving artist development, responsible mentorship and counseling for his obvious trauma...major record labels always put million dollar life insurance policies on artist of this nature so that they get paid one way or the other."
He continued, "[Chief Keef] is a spokesman for the Prison Industrial Complex. Every corporation is expected to grow at least 4% each quarter, many prisons are privately owned with stock being traded on the open market. If these corporations were to do commercials, jingles and promotions who would they hire? You got it, most of the main stream rappers we salivate over like Rick Ross the former correctional officer turned Drug Lord Boss rapper. Waka Flocka Flame gang bang “GO HARD IN THE PAINT” and Chief Keef the newest lottery pick in the 'Get paid to destroy young minds, like we destroyed yours' sweepstakes."

Aftermath of Chris Brown/ Drake Fight: "W.i.P. Nightclub loses Liquor License
It seems like the Drake vs. Chris Brown fight that happened a couple weeks ago was the third strike for W.i.P, the NYC nightclub where the fight took place. Last night, the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) ordered the alcohol ban toward W.i.P., the sister venue of Greenhouse that happens to be housed at the same nightclub.
The SLA suspension is due to ten individual assaults and altercations that start March 11th and led to the Chris Brown and Drake dispute on June 14th. Consequently, W.I.P face 17 Alcoholic Beverage Control Law violations alongside other infringements like drug abuse and poor supervision.
SLA has ordered the ban to be "effective immediately."
With they way the club's luck is going, it looks like it will be closed indefinitely.

Kelis Addresses Nas' 'Life Is Good' Album Cover "I Can Respect That He Wears His Feelings On His Sleeve" [Video]
When Kelis and Nas split up the rapper said the only thing she left behind was her green wedding dress, so it came as a surprise to many that he would pose with a replica of the dress on the cover of his upcoming album Life Is Good.
NMETV recently caught up with Kelis to get her take on the cover.
"My feelings about it are not relevant, but at the end of the day, Nas is an artist," she said. "And for whatever it's worth, he's one of the greatest, especially for what it is that he does. For me, I feel like, especially for someone in Hip Hop, to really kind of be genuine and honest, whatever the honesty is about - I think it's awesome. My feelings about it aren't necessarily valid, it's just the fact that, as an artist, I can respect that he wears his feelings on his sleeve. I like that."
Mom Who Had Sex With 16-Year Old Son Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison, But Claims 'Genetic Attraction,' Not Incest
A California woman who had sex with her biological son was sentenced Wednesday to four years and eight months in Napa County Superior Court according to the Napa Valley Register.
32-year old Mistie Rebecca Atkinson, had pleaded no contest in May to incest, oral copulation, lewd contact with a minor and distribution of lewd material to a minor. This all stemmed from an incestuous relationship she was having with her 16-year old biological son.
Atkinson, who had been estranged from her son since he was 2-years old tracked him down on Facebook in 2011. She began to send him multiple inappropriate messages and nude photos. At some point the two began an intimate relationship.
Atkinson pleaded with the court for leniency, saying she never intended to become intimate with her son.
“I don’t feel like I should have the charge of incest because there is something called genetic attraction that is a very powerful (phenomenon) that happens to 50 (percent) of people becoming reunited with a long-lost relative,” she wrote in her letter to the judge.
Police caught Atkinson in a hotel room with her son after being tipped off by the boy's grandmother and other relatives that the two were having an incestuous relationship.
The New York Daily News reports that "Good Morning America" ran a segment about genetic sexual attraction (GSA) last month. Some psychologists say that biological family members who are separated for long periods of time risk becoming sexually attracted to each other when they reunite.
