Common Possibly Facing Foreclosure On Chicago Condo
The Chicago emcee, Common, is said to be facing foreclosure on a condo he owns in Chicago with his manager.
According to reports, Common is allegedly in danger of having his Chicago condo foreclosed. TMZ is reporting that legal documents show the Chicago emcee has not paid mortgage for months.
The reports indicate that Common and Derek Dudley, his manager, have not paid the $2,285 monthly mortgage since March. As a result, the reports state that Bank of America is filing foreclosure documents.
Bank of America would then sell the condo and add up the payments which haven't been made along with other fees for more than $345,000.
Common has not officially responded on the matter as of yet.
Curren$y Backs Off Lawsuit From Damon Dash
Curren$y says that he was "too cool" for a lawsuit and that they'll "figure that out."
In March, Curren$y filed a $1.5 million lawsuit against Damon Dash for releasing two of his albums without permission. But after the two recently started talking again, Spitta says that he's entirely backed away from the suit.
During an interview with MTV News' Sway Calloway on"RapFix Live," Andretti explained that he and the music mogul will patch up their differences out of court.
"I rolled that up too, that's in the ashtray," he said. "I'm way too cool for a lot of that stuff, because I would always have to talk about it. I didn't even do it because I didn't feel like talking about that. So we'll figure that out. We're men."
Curren$y recently revealed that he's in talks with Dash and Ski Beatz to record Pilot Talk III. He will also release Puff Daddy with Chuck Inglish and Live in Concert with Wiz Khalifa in the near future.

B.G. Releases Statement Regarding 14-Year Prison Sentence: "I Am Relieved"
After receiving a 14-year prison sentence, B.G. is looking on the bright side.
Many people in former Hot Boy B.G.'s situation would not feel optimistic, as the rapper recently received a 14-year prison sentence for gun possession and witness tampering.
In a statement released to TMZ, the New Orleans emcee pointed out the the results could have been significantly worse. "I am relieved I found out what my fate was yesterday because I was facing 30 years and my case kept getting pushed back."
In addition to finding solace in finally knowing his fate, B.G. was encouraged by the proverbial "light at the end of the tunnel."
"I am just ready to get my sentence started because it’s not RIP BG it’s FREE BG," read the statement. "I feel happy and blessed that I will still be a young man and still be able to see daylight because I am someone, a dad, a brother and a son."
B.G. added that he "will have upcoming music that will be released while I am away."
Earlier this week, it was announced that B.G. was headed to federal prison for nearly a decade-and-a-half, a sentence stemming from a 2009 traffic stop. B.G. pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, and obstructed justice by convincing an associate to claim ownership of the gun.

He explained that the two first met at SXSW some years ago, and that the two have maintained a connection ever since. He added that he hopes to shoot a video for the record at some point.
"Yeah, [Q and I] did a record about Cadillacs. I always think I’m a proud owner of a Cadillac," he said, "The record is dope. Q came in and that’s the homie. We met at SXSW a couple of years ago. He came in. We were kicking it when he was in town and he did a show. He came into the studio, got in touch with my guy, and knocked it out quick. The record is dope though and I definitely want to shoot a video for it."
He added, "We’ve been cool for the last year and half now. I think there’s a mutual respect for each other’s art...I really just fuck with his music. I love his new shit Habits and Contradictions – that’s my shit. I think he’s a phenomenal rapper. It was a no brainer. He’s the homie. He’s a great rapper. He’s doing great things."
G.O.O.D. Music Covers Complex Magazine, 2 Chainz Clarifies Standing With Label
Common, Pusha T, Kid CuDi, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, John Legend and Q-Tip contribute to the cover story.
G.O.O.D. Music is the latest to cover Complex magazine, which features a cover image sporting the crew's faces arranged in the shape of a cross.
During the group interview, Common, Pusha T, Kid CuDi,2 Chainz, Big Sean, John Legend and Q-Tip discuss how Kanye West influences their recording and writing processes, as well as what's changed for the imprint over the years.
2 Chainz, who has collaborated with West ast of late and appeared with the crew during live performances, clarified his standing with the label.
"I’m not officially signed, paperwork-wise, to G.O.O.D. Music. But I have a great rapport with ’Ye. He called me before Watch the Throne came out. I’m an only child. I’ve got trust issues. So I don’t have a best friend, a brother, sister—nothing. Stuff was happening in my life that I couldn’t tell nobody. I didn’t have anybody in my life that I could tell, like, '’Ye just called me,'" he said. "I’ve talked to ’Ye 1,000 times about trying to make this situation work for the both of us, so it won’t feel like anyone is getting used or anything. I’m in a position in life where I like talking about things like that. I came from a situation with DTP, being under Luda, where I got a phobia. Sometimes when an artist signs another artist, they’re so worried about themselves. And with ’Ye, he helps everybody.
Freeway Rick Ross Pens Letter In Response To Rapper Rick Ross’ Comments On Identity Lawsuit. - Full Letter Inside
Rapper Rick Ross recently commented on Freeway Rick Ross’ identity lawsuit still being alive, on Funk Flex’s show on Hot 97. In a response to the same, Freeway has sent us this letter where he addresses Rozay’s claims and explains why he is being treated in an unfair manner.
This is Freeway Rick Ross, I’m writing this to reply to William “Rozay” Robert’s interview with Funkmaster Flex last night addressing my lawsuit. In the streets a name is everything, in Hip Hop it is a career maker. William claims that we are both street dudes and could’ve talked; he and his music label had that chance and thought they could ignore me because I had a life sentence. In prison when you have a federal life sentence you’re considered the walking dead, it is exactly for this reason that they dodged me when I sent multiple requests from prison to sit down about the use of my name and image. When I finally chased William down through my guys on the street, we talked via phone, he gave me a number, and said he would come down to the prison to “chop it up”. He never came, then changed the phone number.
On the street when you take someone’s name and image the first step is to properly approach them, then you can be the lil homie, if they accept. But because he thought I was the walking dead he just stole my name and image. I’m a street dude from LA, it’s documented. William is not a street dude. He is a guy from a good background that had to pass background tests to become an Officer. There’s nothing wrong with being an Officer, just don’t use my name if you were one to gain traction in rap, especially without asking me. I didn’t get treated well by police, they planted drugs and physically beat me, so to have an officer use my name to get into rap is disrespectful.
William said to Big Boy on Power 106 it’s something “sinister” about it regarding being a CO, there ain’t nothing sinister about a CO. It’s a stand up job for a straight guy. I told Gary Webb in interviews for Dark Alliance “Everyday I hustled” then the guy came out with his single “Hustlin.” Well before music labels profiteered on my name and image “RICK ROSS” it had reached everywhere from Time Magazine, CSPAN Congressional Hearings and Newspapers globally, causing global awareness of my image as “RICK ROSS.” I believe the guy studied me, watched TV, read all the press, talked to people that were around me then tricked people when they searched the internet and thought he was me. I had a Louis Vuitton room in my hotel at the Freeway Inn, everybody knew that who were “street dudes.” I turn around and all this guy talks about is Louis Vuitton. In the new “Three Kings” song with Dr. Dre & Jay Z he talks about Crips, the guy knew about me and Crips by his own admission, that’s who I was associated with because of where I grew up. Also everybody knew I took care of my guys like equals, and was known as the Boss. This guy walks around with my whole image, he has mimicked all of my persona as Rick Ross.
Check out the KDAY LA interview where William explains how he got the name Rick Ross. Under oath he claimed he came up with the name playing football as an All American out the air in 1996. In 1996 I was everywhere on every news channel, newspaper and Gary Webb even did a book “Dark Alliance” on me and the cocaine epidemic. There’s no way someone in love with gang lore like William graduating HS in 96 came up with my name out of thin air. Somewhere between all the lyrics of my image as RICK ROSS moving bricks of cocaine, causing violence/mayhem and being a boss kingpin lost is how my image and right to rehabilitate it has been stolen and licensed. Then I contact Carol City HS just to see if he was All American, and they have no record of a William Roberts playing football in the 90′s. C’mon Man!!!
To have a man tattoo my name on his hands, and then not acknowledge why he did it is a disrespect to me, all my cell mates in for unfairly long crack sentences and the black community that was affected by the cocaine epidemic and Iran Contra Scandal. To have music labels profiteer by pushing the image of the dangerous black criminal is irresponsible. My recent article on Loop 21 and Toure’ article on the Washington Post are a must read to understand. Also you can see the Emmy nominated VH1 Documentary Planet Rock “History of Crack and Hip Hop” to see why my name made William Robert’s career. Telling young people with no hope because of poverty that you can sell drugs and parlay it into a record career is selling false hope. TELL THE PEOPLE THE TRUTH, THEY GAVE YOU THE MONEY AND YOU HAVE NEVER SOLD A DRUG. IT’S OK TO BE WILLIAM ROBERTS II, rather than the second Rick Ross.

Frank Ocean Talks On Comming Out
Frank Ocean has said that his decision to open up about his sexuality was "about my own sanity and my ability to feel like I'm living a life where … I'm happy when I wake up in the morning, and not with this freakin' boulder on my chest."
In an exclusive interview to be published in the Guardian Guide on Saturday, the 24-year old R&B singer also identifies an element of altruism in his decision. "I wished at 13 there was somebody I looked up to who would have said something like that, who would have been transparent in that way," he said.
Ocean's comments follow on from his Tumblr post, in which he talked about falling in love for the first time with a man, and the release of his critically acclaimed album Channel Orange. He said that his open letter was written in December 2011 with a view to include it in the album sleeve notes in order to pre-empt speculation that might arise from some of its songs addressing men. "I knew that I was writing in a way that people would ask questions," he said. "I knew that my star was rising, and I knew that if I waited I would always have somebody that I respected be able to encourage me to wait longer, to not say it till who knows when."
The Odd Future member also downplayed the risk in his coming out. "People are just afraid of things too much … Sure, evil exists, extremism exists. Somebody could commit a hate crime and hurt me. But they could do the same just because I'm black. They could do the same just because I'm American."

Shout out to the Mixtape Weezy. Get ready."
Xzibit Jabs Frank Ocean On Twitter
While the overwhelming response to Frank Ocean coming out has been positive, with many artists saying they would like to work with the singer there are still some people who refuse to accept his lifestyle. You can count West Coast rapper Xzbit as one of those who won't be working with Frank anytime soon.
X to the Z is about to drop his new album Napalm. When asked by a fan if he planned on working with Frank, X replied "pause."
The use of the word "pause" is slang to negate the homosexual connotation of a comment.
Another one of the rapper's followers saw his reply and got angry.
Unfazed, the "Front 2 Back" MC said he wouldn't apologize for anything he says on his own timeline.

Cassidy Clears Up Meek Mill Beef "We Talked About It & It's Over With" [Video]
Last week Cassidy and Meek Mill had a disagreement on Twitter after Cassidy retweeted some things his followers were asking about why he and Meek hadn't collaborated since Meek blew up. Yesterday Cassidy stopped by BET's 106 & Park to judge the latest Freestyle Fridays and he cleared the air.
"Me and Meek Mill been messing with each other for years, but when you're on one side of the world and somebody else is somewhere else you got a bunch of people in the middle and it could cause problems," Cassidy said. "People can be in your ear and make you feel the wrong way or different things and all that. That's how it got twisted up. From me retweeting it did get a little twisted but we got a crazy history together. We're from the same city. You could pull up a bunch videos we did, a bunch of songs together. Plus I'm happy he's doing his thing because we're from the same city and it's good for my city."
Cassidy said that at the end of the day it's all good between him and Meek.
"I got access to him," Cass added. "I texted him, hit his phone. We talked about it and got to the bottom of it and it's over with."

Battle Over Rick Ross Name Continues In Court
The legal battle over the name “Rick Ross” rages on between “Freeway” Rick Ross and rapper Rick Ross, who owns the trademark to the name.
On Tuesday (July 17), a federal judge ruled that the case could continue in court.
According to the latest ruling, Freeway Rick can pursue Warner Brothers, since Rick Ross and his record label Maybach Music Group have a deal with the label.
According to the judge presiding over the case, Freeway Ricky has 10 days to amend his lawsuit, against Warner Brothers, for false advertising, unjust enrichment, and unfair business practice.
Freeway Ricky Ross has been battling rapper Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, in court, since 2010.
Freeway Ricky filed his first lawsuit against the rapper in June of 2010, in hopes of preventing him from using and exploiting, his birth name.
Freeway Rick claims that the rapper co-opted his name and likeness as a former drug kingpin and parlayed it into a successful rap career.
Freeway Ricky Ross is an urban legend, who had a drug empire that earned as much as $2 million per day.
Additionally, Freeway Ricky has been the subject of numerous articles in regards to the Iran-Contra scandal and he ha been featured on popular television shows like “American Gangster.”
But the rap star came out on the victorious end of two separate lawsuits, one in federal court and another, appeal in state court.
In the first ruling, the judge ruled that Freeway Rick could not capitalize on his own name, since it was built off of committing real crimes.
The state ruled that a statute of limitations on the allegations helped the rapper get the case dismissed from court.
To make matters worse, rapper Rick Ross received a federal trademark for the name, which he has used in commerce since his 2006 debut, Port of Miami.

Swizz Beatz Does Another Collaboration With Reebok
Producer Swizz Beatz has yet again designed another sneaker with Reebok. The shoe, entitled 'Time to Show', appears to live up to its high fashion persona.
The high-top double zip boot with an oversize tongue featuring the Reebok logo is covered in black leather and brass detailing that embraces the bad ass biker look. With his name on the inside of the shoe, the owner can always be reminded that its a product of Swizz.
Although the footwear owns the rebel look, 'Time to Show' is suppose to be for casual wear. The producer expects his creation to get a lot of head turns.
The sneaker has already been released in Europe so it should be hitting this side of the hemisphere pretty soon. View pictures below. Source: Sneaker News
Feds Attempting To Use Swizz Beatz To Try Megaupload Case In U.S.
When the file sharing website Megaupload was shut down by the feds in January several arrests were made including that of the company's owner Kim Schmitz aka Kim Dotcom. Others arrested included company co-founder Mathias Ortman, as well as chief marketing officer Finn Batao, and developer Bram van der Kolk.
The arrests occurred in New Zealand at the request of the FBI. The four were charged with "with running an international organized criminal enterprise allegedly responsible for massive worldwide online piracy of numerous types of copyrighted works through Megaupload.com and other related sites"
At the time of those arrests Swizz Beatz, real name Kasseem Dean, was cleared of responsibility "because his role in the company was loose and unfinalized." Now according to MTV the federal government is claiming that "Swizz was involved with the company and they are specifically using his involvement in an attempt to try the case in the United States."
Swizz was listed as a CEO of the company at the time it was taken down, but his lawyer would later claim that his involvement was only an endorsement and that Swizz had no real involvement in running the company.
The federal government is now disputing that fact. U.S. attorney Neil MacBridge says that Swizz represented Megaupload in front of the United States Trade Representative in December 2011, which indicates he was officially involved and gives the opportunity for the federal government to try a case against the site within the United States.
"After Defendant Dotcom became Defendant Megaupload's Chief Innovation Officer, the company appears to have employed at least two Chief Executive Officers in the United States: first David Robb and then Kasseem David Dean (also known as Swizz Beatz)," a filing by MacBridge connecting Swizz to Megaupload reads.
Swizz has yet to comment publicly on the most recent filing, but it appears likely he will be served a summons and have to defend himself in the upcoming court proceedings.
Drake Cops Sick New $7.7 Million California Crib [Pics]
