Al Sharpton To Release Book via Cash Money Records
Just weeks after signing socialite Paris Hilton, Newsday LI reports that Rev. Al Sharpton is working on a book to be co-released this October 8th by the publishing arm of Cash Money Records, home to Lil Wayne, with whom Sharpton has feuded over some of the rapper's lyrics.
Sharpton's "The Rejected Stone" will be published by Cash Money Content and Massenburg Media.
The book will cover Sharpton's "personal evolution" from New York street activist to political candidate and civil rights spokesman.
Sharpton told The Associated Press on Thursday that the book would include his thoughts on Lil Wayne and other rappers and that he was anxious to have a positive dialogue.
He added: "Just because we disagree doesn't mean we have to be disagreeable."

Jermaine Dupri continues to have money problems. The latest major headache for theSo So Def CEO is a bill from Uncle Sam for $798,692.35.
According to TMZ, the Internal Revenue Service has filed two separate liens against Dupri. He reportedly owes taxes for the years 2008 ($646.47), 2010 ($140, 889.76) and 2011 ($657,156.12).
Dupri has found a way to dodge serious financial issues with the IRS in the past. In February he paid off a $3 million tax lien for the year 2006. In January 2012 he scraped up the cash to pay the state of Georgia $493,818.75 for the year 2007.

Rick Ross Sued For $90K Over Unpaid Rolexes By Houston Jeweler
Rick Ross is being sued by a Houston jewelry company for three Rolex watches he ordered and received, but didn't pay for.
Johnny's Custom Jewelry filed a lawsuit against Ross and Maybach Music Group, seeking payment of $89,847.50 plus interest, according to TMZ.
The Rolexes were ordered last August and delivered. They include one 18K gold watch with 30CT of diamonds ($55,000), one 18K gold watch with 7CT of diamonds ($14,000), and one two-tone watch with 5CT of diamonds ($14,000).
Johhny's is known throughout the music industry for it's custom pieces for artists like Flo Rida, Soulja Boy, Nelly, Sean Kingston and many more.
No response from Ross' camp as of yet.

Eminem Terrified As Daughter Begins Dating Man Raised On His Music

ROCHESTER, MI—Hip-hop artist Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem, said he was left wholly terrified today after meeting his daughter Hailie’s new boyfriend Justin Denham, an 18-year-old who was reportedly raised on the rapper’s music.
Saying he could barely fathom the thought of Hailie, 17, with a man who ever enjoyed listening to, or was inspired by, his often misogynistic and violent lyrics, Eminem, 40, claimed he was disturbed from the second Denham said he was “a huge fan” of all of the rapper’s seven albums.
“Justin said I was his favorite artist when he was growing up, and now he wants to go out with my little girl,” said Eminem, telling reporters he didn’t even want to imagine what Denham’s views on relationships could possibly entail given his self-professed love of albums that include songs about mutilating women. “Honestly, I don’t really know what I’m supposed to do here. How am I supposed to let Hailie go out with a guy who says I was a huge influence on him and all of his friends?”
“I mean, this guy’s probably listened to my song ‘Kim,’” Eminem continued. “I rapped about cutting my wife’s throat and then driving around with her in my trunk in that song. Jesus.”
Citing lyrics where he discussed raping a woman with an umbrella to “make her p**** wider,” the visibly shaken multi-platinum artist said he can’t imagine sitting by while his oldest daughter spends time alone with a man whose worldview could have been even slightly influenced by any of his songs.
Eminem added that while Hailie has repeatedly claimed Justin is a “good guy who treats her well,” he seriously doubts anyone who likes the song “Kill You,” where he brutally describes killing a woman and hiding her in a closet, could ever be a decent person.
“His favorite song is ‘Superman’—a track where I said I was going to put anthrax on a girl’s tampon and slap her until she can’t stand,” said Eminem, adding he could only imagine the types of drugs and alcohol songs like “Purple Pills” and “Crack A Bottle” had led him to do. “He better not think he can get away with all this stuff with Hallie. Or maybe he does. I mean, this is a guy who was listening to me rap about beating women ever since he was just a kid.”
“And his parents let him listen to it?” Eminem continued. “What kind of house was that? I don’t even want to think about what kind of people they are.”
Eminem went on to say he was even further dismayed when Denham said he also grew up listening to artists such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Ludacris, and told reporters he could only imagine the sorts of relationship lessons he pulled out of music like “Bitches Ain’t Shit” and “Move B****.”
“At this point, I suppose it would be ideal for Hailie to date someone who never listened to any one of my songs, ever,” said Eminem. “Why can’t she find someone who listened to music that wasn’t about having sex with prostitutes and then painting a room red with their blood?”
“Jesus,” Eminem added, “I have to go find my daughter right now.”

The woman involved in the alleged hit and run accident with Chris Brown says she was in fear because the singer "had a lot of tattoos."
Olga Gure-Kovalenko, the reigning Miss Russian L.A., told TMZ that she didn't recognize Brown and his body ink intimidated her.
"I was so afraid because he looked scary for me because it was a big car, he had a lot of tattoos, and I didn't know he was a celebrity. For me he looked kind of scary," Olga said.
She further added that her blood pressure shot up after Brown called her a b*tch. Olga also claims that Brown gave her expired insurance for a Lamborghini that he wasn't driving at the time and refused to give her his driver's license before he left the scene.
As previously reported, Brown has been charged for driving without a valid license and hit and run in connection with the accident, which happened last month in Los Angeles. If it's determined that he violated his probation he could face up to four years in jail.

High School Students Combining Rap With Science To Learn & Get Better Grades [Video]
Science is a subject that can be boring at times to kids in school, but a pilot program in New York City has added rap to the mix and the results have been amazing.
In December 2012 a select group of NYC high schools took part in the program called Science Genius B.A.T.T.L.E.S. with the goal of encouraging science education through hip hop competition. The schools selected had not traditionally done well in science in the past.
"What we are doing now is just showing what we know already exist," said Chris Emdin, assistant professor of science education at the college. "Bringing hip-hop culture into the classroom and changing the game of education."
The 10 schools currently participating in the program are Bronx Compass, Ellis Preparatory Academy, The Marie Curie School, Park East High School, Hillside Arts, Brooklyn Community Arts and Media, August Martin High, Validus Prep, Urban Assembly School for the Performing Arts and Arts and Media Prep.
"Everybody can relate to hip hop. Not a lot of people can relate to science. So when you put them together it just becomes something beautiful," said one student.
Wu Tang Clan emcee GZA is encouraged by the progress the students are making.
"These kids are taking science and they're writing creative raps and they incorporate. So, they're also teaching while learning," GZA explained.
Educators are hoping to expand the program to more schools in the future.

TLC Gets Criticized For Replacing 'Left Eye' w/ Asian Vocalist for Remake of 'Waterfalls'
In honor of its 20th anniversary, the classic R&B group TLC has remade "Waterfalls," however, the revised creation has left people baffled.
Chilli and T-Boz has used Japanese starlet Namie Amuro to sing the late Left Eye's bars in the song. The rerecorded single hit the Internet earlier this week but was deleted due to copyright issues. Plus Left Eye's fam is disturbed by the remake.
Vibe reported that the deceased TLC member's sister Reigndrop said:
"I did not know about it until a fan posted it online. I mean, it would have been nice if they would have given us a heads up before being surprised."
Others blame the release on the remaining group members trying to gain momentum. With a VH1 biopic soon to air, T-Boz and Chilli have been working on collaborations with those like Drake and Ne-Yo.

Robbers Post Photo Of Items Stolen From 2 Chainz Online
Someone affiliated with or the actual person involved in the robbery of 2 Chainz has posted a photo of the rapper's drivers license and Visa credit card. The picture was posted on an Instagram account.
Tity Boi, real name Tauheed Epps, was robbed at gunpoint while out in San Francisco earlier this month. The thieves took his wallet and cell phone.
The rapper initially denied being robbed, but surveillance footage of the incident soon surfaced.
Suspect In DreamChaser's Lil Snupe Death Apphrended; Tony D. Holden Charged w/ 1st-Degree Murder and More
Who knows if it was his guilty conscious or fear itself, but Tony D. Holden turned himself in on Tuesday at Louisiana's Winnfield Police Department as suspect for the murder of 18-year-old rapper Lil Snupe.
The accused, 36, is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Holden has been jailed with no set bond. It is unknown whether the suspect has an attorney.
Authorities were leading toward Holden ever since last week when it was discovered that the Meek Mill protege was fatally shot twice in the torso during a video game session that went wrong.

Jay Z To Play Free Concert in Times Square on July 8th
According to the NY Post, Jay-Z is planning on a surprise performance this July 8th in NY's famous Times Square.
Said to take place atop the marquee of the Ed Sullivan Theater the rapper is waiting for the approval by the city for this "Late Show With David Letterman" performance.
"They’ll have to shut down Broadway around the Letterman building. They’ll have to have a strong police presence. It’s going to be chaos with so many fans" a law-enforcement source said.
Don't forget that the city killed the same plan in the summer of 2010 over concerns about crowd control and security though. Jay-Z and Eminem then moved their concert to the theater’s rooftop, where permits weren’t required, after the city put the kibosh on their initial plan.
