Putting an end to Eminem's record-setting run, the “California Gurls” singer sold 192,000 copies of her second official major label album.

50 Cent Gives Up Twitter To Work On Album;-The Return of the Heartless Monster.

50 Cent's Twitter followers are going to have to find other ways to amuse themselves this weekend. The MC says he's giving up tweeting to pen his next effort, The Return of the Heartless Monster.

"Ok ladies and [gentlemen] I'm writing my new album. I will not be on twitter again till Sept 6," Fif wrote Wednesday (September 1). "This album will be a classic," added the MC, who announced the album title on Twitter.

50 has been putting in work on his new material. Swizz Beatz recently told MTV News that he has been in the studio with the G-Unit boss, after 50 reportedly shelved much of the dance-music-friendly sound he originally envisioned for his upcoming music.

While the arrival of Kanye West and his multifaceted musings on the micro-blogging website has sparked major fanfare from fans and the media, 50's missives have ramped up in both frequency and ridiculousness over the past few weeks. Some days, Fif has been introspective and candid, sharing the inner-workings of his subconscious with followers.

"Just woke up I had a dream I put stars On my head like baby [of Cash Money]. then I was at church they told me take my hat off I said I just wanta pray lol," 50 typed Sunday. "That'$ crazy why wa$ baby on my mind. oh I wa$ looking at old xxl magazine$ la$t night. anyway$hout out to baby I know that [hurt]."

Other times, the Queens MC has added his voice to the public discourse about the state of the economy, and even doled out advice to our increasingly embattled president.

"Obamas ratings are down cause he didn't include pimpin and hoein in stimulus package. Good hoes would boost male moral and fix the recession," 50 asserted Saturday. The "Baby by Me" rapper later added, "Sh-- I should run america. first thing I'd do is cut my taxes then tell yal chill the f--- out ima get to the rest of the problems. You know me and george bush was born on the same day july6. Speaking of birthdays everybody on twitter should send me just 1 dollar cool?"

The Before I Self Destruct rapper has even mused about his tough childhood. "My aunt sylvia didnt like me growin up cause she was the baby till I came," 50 also wrote Saturday. "We had roaches so she put roach spray in a bowl and kill my dog."

Of course, it wouldn't be 50's Twitter page if he didn't take a swipe at the competition. "I just looked at kanye page what the f--- kind a spaced out tweets are those," the MC typed earlier in the day. "F--- that I aint never looking at that sh-- again."

Although 50 has built an empire on his super-tough persona, the MC has conceded that his words may be a wee bit harsh for his Twitter fans. "Look man I'm sorry I've been cursing," 50 said. "But f--- that sh-- I gotta express myself, b****."

Snoop Dogg Announces He's Dropping A Sequel To A Classic With His New Album 'Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary'.

Snoop Dogg is setting the bar high for his next album.

The Doggfather announced that his next cd will be a sequel to the 1993 classic 'Doggystyle', and producer Swizz Beatz is already giving him "sounds" for the project.

"I'm in the studio with Swizzle, and he just laced my boots up on my new record," Snoop said while sitting next to Swizz. "Motherf*cker gave me some gangsta sh*t, some crip sh*t, some R&B sh*t, some hip hop sh*t, some hard sh*t, some mean sh*t. And the name of the album is ,Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary', be on the look out for it."

Snoop was holding a cd, he said contained 18 new tracks he and Swizz had just knocked out.

"Thats how we used to do it back in the day," says Swizz. "We used to be about the sound, not the single. Right now we're constructing sounds for the album."

When I think of 'Doggystyle', I remember nothing but hardcore West Coast tracks. It's going to be interesting to hear what Swizz, traditionally known for a more East Coast influenced sound has come up with.

Video After The Jump

Right about now, Soulja Boy is wishing he never heard the name Kat Stacks.

You kind of had to know a parody or two would be coming after Kat came out with the video in Soulja's hotel room, claiming he had a cocaine habit. And @KingBach killed it with this one.

Soulja's hit, "Pretty Boy Swag" will never sound the same after seeing this, lmao.

Kim Kardashian Admits She Would Be Open To Dating Justin Bieber If He Was Of Legal Age "He Has This Swag To Him" [Video]

Bill O'Reilly recently went in on Kim Kardashian for her "gross" pictures for Elle magazine with 16 year old pop star Justin Bieber.

Kim's not exactly making doing herself any favors with comments she made on Lopez regarding the controversy. She doesn't see anything wrong with the pics, and even admitted there could be more to her relationship with Bieber if he was legally old enough.

"if he was of legal age, you just have to meet him, he definitely has this swag to him," she told the talk show host.

SMH, that doesn't sound right at all.

Twitter War Between The Game & Kat Stacks

Twitter seems to be the breeding grounds for beef these days. Artists such as Joe Budden, Fabolous, Juelz Santana and B. Pumper are not above getting involved in these e-feuds, and have had some of the most notable ones. Today, super w****, Kat Stacks, and rapper, The Game, have jumped on that bandwagon.

If you follow Funeral Fab on Twitter, you should know by now that he's always going at somebody. Today his target is the "Porno N*gga" B.Pumper.

Fabolous goes in on the man's jewelry with some pretty funny lines.

"I jus got word Brian Pumper sayin I'm scared of him too.. "You know u done f***** right" *Cop from Menace 2 Society voice*.

#BrianPumperJewels are the same jewels they used 4 the hamsters in those Scion commercials.

I doubt Fab is being serious, just throwing some jabs out there. You never know though, B. Pumper might end up battling two of New York's best rappers in Fab and Juelz Santana.

This is not the begining of her Lady GaGa's social media conquest. Last month the singer was the first to recieve 10 million likes on Facebook.

After becoming Queen of Twitter GaGa sent out a special message, dressed as Glenda the good witch, to all of her followers showing her appreciation.

Lauryn Hill Hill Lands On Billboard Charts For 1st Time In 10 Years With "Repercussions"

Just weeks after a track titled "Repercussions" leaked on the internet, the elusive Lauryn Hill debuts on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at No. 94 -- her first debut as a lead artist in over 10 years.

The last time the West Orange, New Jersey, native charted as a lead artist on the tally was back in November 1999, when "Turn Your Lights Down Low," featuring Bob Marley, peaked at No. 49. In 2006, the Method Man track "Say," featuring Hill, charted at No. 66 after 10 weeks on the chart.

The release of "Repercussions" came on the same day the former Fugees member performed at the FESPAD Festival in Kigali, Rwanda last month and fueled the rumors that Hill is finally working on a follow-up album.

Lauryn Hill will be headlining the Rock The Bells tour next month. She will be joined by Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest and Slick Rick, among others

Beyonce Accused Of Stealing Design For Her 'Dereon' Clothing Line From Iceland's 'E-Label'

In her new promotional campaign for the Dereon 2010 Fall collection, R&B singer Beyonce is seen photographed in leggings which look extremely similar to leggings from Iceland’s E-label.

This is naturally huge and I am still half in shock. I didn’t twig straight away that this was her own label: I just thought she was wearing our leggings. It is practically just copy/paste,” says Heba Hallgrimsdottir, one of the owners of E-label.

The designer of the black studded with metal spikes leggings, Asgrimur Mar Fridriksson, confirmed that Beyonce purchased the exact pair from their E-label brand at a branch of Topshop in London last November, stating it is a very “strange coincidence.”

As to a lawsuit, Heba said her company needs to do more due diligence before going forward.

“I have only just heard about this and no decision has yet been taken. We need to inspect her brand’s trousers closer because, according to law, it is not copied if a certain number of things have been changed from the original design,” Heba said.

She added that Beyonce’s E-label leggings were bought from the Edit section of Topshop, which sell designs from little-known labels.

Heba also states that E-label has not copyrighted its design, but believes that widespread media coverage of Beyonce’s purchase last November, both in Iceland and overseas, would be evidence enough to prove plagiarism – if E-label eventually decides that the new design was indeed copied from their own.

Christina Aguilera Feels That Lady Gaga Has Ruined Her Career

Christina Aguilera must be feeling ‘Not Myself Tonight’ after reports the diva is being forced to accept private gigs after poor tickets sales for her North American summer tour!

The ‘official’ reason for her cancelled tour was ‘insufficient rehearsal time’, but insiders are lamenting the real reason is poor ticket and record sales. Her fourth album ‘Bionic’ recently made history in the UK by debuting at number one with the lowest number of copies sold in eight years; it then received the largest weekly decline for a number one album. Her latest single ‘You Lost Me’ has so far failed to make the Billboard top 200.

An insider said: "Christina's performing at Bar Mitzvahs and weddings. She wanted to charge $ 2 million a time but her hubby Jordan Bratman convinced her to lower it to $245,000 so she'll get more gigs."

And, if the whispers are true, rival Lady Gaga is the one copping the blame!

The insider added, "Christina thinks fans saying she's "Gaga lite" has thwarted her success. They've slammed her latest image as a poor imitation.

“It's embarrassing for someone once so successful to resort to this but blaming Gaga's just crazy!"

If that’s the case, then this next tidbit of news will be a real burn for the pint-sized songstress. Billboard magazine estimates that Gaga’s current ‘Monster Ball’ tour will gross nearly $200 million worldwide by the end of the year.

But ever the Lady, GaGa has given the ‘Dirrty’ singer props, saying Christina helped her become a household name in the states!

In response to comments that CA was imitating Lady's kooky sense of style at the MTV VMAs , Gaga said: "Well, it was very flattering when it happened."

"She's such a huge star and if anything I should send her flowers, because a lot of people in America didn't know who I was until that whole thing happened.

"It really put me on the map in a way, though of course I don't just want to be remembered for the Christina Aguilera scandal."

"There are no hard feelings with Christina at all," she told Digital Spy. "What it showed me was, even though I've only been on the commercial market for seven or eight months, I've really burned graphic images of my visuals onto the irises of my fans.

"They saw a huge, Grammy-winning star who's been around for years and they recognised Lady GaGa. That to me is quite an accomplishment."

But it’s not all gloom and doom for Christina. The star is busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Burlesque’, which is due for release later in the year. The movie, which also stars Cher, is already getting rave reviews

Ja Rule States That Battle With 50 Cent Was "Unfair,"

Marred by the 50 Cent stigma and faltered comeback attempts Ja Rule is wiping the blood from his eye continuing to fight the good fight.

Now, finally confident that he is ready to take back center stage, Ja has a lot to say in a new interview with Vibe magazine. Though the beef has simmered Ja offered this thought on his former nemesis,

“I laugh when I see people say s*** like, “Yo, [50 Cent] kilt Rule, but he didn't kill Ross.” No disrespect to Ross, but he did 180-something [first week sales of Teflon Don]. I went platinum with R.U.L.E. after I made Blood In My Eye. I look at s*** like that and… I don't know, take it how you want to take it.”

Ja also spoke about incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne's current circ***tance and how he still could be facing pending legal issues for an incident that took place at the same venue Weezy was arrested.

“They locked me and Wayne up the same night. It's been a crazy three years going through this situation. Wayne will be home in November. I'm still facing… a lot of time. So, I've got to mentally put my mind on it and work toward… God will see me through it.”

The Rule even offered his picks for his favorite new kids on the block, possibly also signifying that his days of controversy may be over.

“I like Drake. I like Nicki. I like the dude Tyga that's on the Chris Brown mixtape. I like J. Cole, he doing his thing. I even like Soulja Boy. The lil n**** smart, man. He make his records and do his thing, ain't bothering nobody. It's too much hate in this game. Hate is for suckas, man.”

Ja is slated to drop his seventh studio album The Renaissance Project later this year and has started a new label Mpire Records, with a roster of artists that includes Push Montana, Harry O and Life.

Beyonce: I'll Have Kids With Jay-Z "When I Am Ready"

Beyonce is letting the world know that she isn’t dropping any babies anytime soon.

“In a new interview with The Daily Mail, the normally tight-lipped singer opens up about her plans to one day start a family with hubby Jay-Z.

"My ambition is to continue to learn about the world and to eventually have a family," she says.
But Knowles, 28, insists that she's in no rush to become a mother, saying that there are "no dates, no times -- it will happen when I am ready."

So what's stopping the "Single Ladies" singer from trading her world tour for diaper duty?

"Probably the biggest challenge in my life is time -- making sure I have time to be a wife, to be a singer, to be a songwriter, to be an actor and still have time for my clothing line and now for my perfume," Knowles confesses. "I am like any other woman who has a child, who has a husband, who has a job. I think it's the hardest thing about being a woman because we have so many responsibilities."

She continues: "For me, balance is always really hard to find. I love so many different things, and to have the discipline to turn certain things away and focus on one thing at a time so that I can give it 100 percent is really hard."

Still, the singer says she's more open to the idea of having children with her 40-year-old husband now that she feels more confident as a woman.

"It takes time to figure out who you are and I am still discovering different things about myself," she says. "More and more I know who I am, I know what I like, I know what I want, and that makes me feel so free. I don't need to hide anymore."”

Bizzy Bone Of Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony Set To Join Cash Money Records

Birdman and Slim are set to add another star to their already filled to the brim Cash Money roster.

According to Allhiphop, Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is about to join the label with a solo deal.

Bizzy has been in the news a lot throughout his career, and it hasn't always been positive. He's clashed frequently with his band mates. This could be the fresh start he needs to pull things together.

Bizzy did not make an appearance during Bone Thugs' latest reunion tour, although he did take part in recording the group's most recent album, 'Uni-5: The World's Enemy'.

Maybe news of Bizzy's new heavy metal album, 'Crossroads 2010' piqued Birdman's interest, since Lil Wayne released a rock album, 'Rebirth' recently.

Whatever the reason he's joining Weezy's house, we wish Bizzy the best of luck.

'Crossroads 2010' is due out August 24.

Remy Ma Working On Mixtape & Album From Behind Bars With Husband Papoose

Prison isn't going to stop Remy Ma's grind.

Boombox is reporting the femcee is putting a mixtape and album together with her husband, Papoose from behind bars.

The former Terror Squad member had this to say about the upcoming projects:

"I be killing him on all the tracks I'm on. I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Actually, we have so many songs recorded together, he's like, 'We're doing the Mr. & Mrs. Mackie mixtape.' We're actually doing an album together and we have numerous songs together."

Remy is serving an eight year sentence for charges of assault, weapons possession and attempted coercion. The charges stem from a 2007 incident where she shot her friend, Makeda Barnes-Joseph twice while they struggled over a gun inside a car.

The mixtape is expected to drop soon. While the album won't drop until after Remy's realease from prison in 2013.

WASTED!! Amy Winehouse

Winehouse was snapped looking worse for wear after a marathon 16 hour drinking session that reportedly kicked off at 5pm on Monday.

The Back to Black singer was seen slumped outside a pub at 9:30am after crashing out from her big night, before she woke up again to sit on some steps and call for a taxi.

During her wild night out, Amy was seen kissing Mischa Barton and hob-knobbing with Russell Brand’s dad Ron.

Amy With Mischa Barton

She bumped into Mr Brand senior at her favourite drinking hole, Camden’s Hawley Arms, and had such a laugh with him that she even started singing to Ron.

It was at the same pub where she had earlier locked lips with actress Mischa Barton, who has recently moved to London.

After leaving Camden, the 26-year-old then carried on her pub-crawl to the West End and Chinatown.

A source told The Sun: ‘I was told Amy ordered champagne and the group tucked into it before starting on pink cocktails. They were having a great time.’

She then jumped in a taxi to head to Inn 1888 in Marylebone, but was so drunk she strolled out of the cab without paying and passed out on the pub’s outdoor table, taxi driver Michael Prenpeh said.

Mr Prenpeh told the tabloid: ‘She was totally gone. She’d no idea what she was doing. She said her boyfriend had no respect for her and was blubbing away – I gave her a tissue.

Meet Nigerian rapper Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege Memeber of Chiddy Bang

As you've probably read, this summer's crop of tours isn't doing so hot. Not at all. But if you want to get out and catch something truly fresh, I suggest electro hip-hop duo Chiddy Bang (named after Nigerian rapper Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege and his producer, Noah "Xaphoon Jones" Beresin), who kick off their The Swelly Life Tour in Pittburgh on August 4.

Don't feel like waiting to see what the Drexel University classmates, who Kanye West blogged about and drew Pete Wentz to a recent show, are all about? Well, then stop over here as I caught up with them via phone just last week to find out what makes them tick.

UsMagazine.com: I know you guys went to school together at Drexel, but how did you come to be a duo?

Chidera Anamege: When we were at Drexel, I was a business major and Noah was a music industry major. The music industry program at Drexel allows kids to have studio access, and that's really important, especially when you're a kid that's trying to rap, you naturally want to get into the studio at any opportunity that you can get. We had a mutual friend that just plugged us together and connected us, and we just started sneaking into the Drexel studio and remixing all types of crazy stuff from Tom Waits, to Weezer, to Radiohead. We just chopped up so many different things, and I just rapped on whatever I thought was dope!

Us: What about being in school at Drexel or being in West Philly influenced your music?

CA: A lot of what I rap about is autobiographical; it's always sort of a portrait of what's going on in our lives. The Philly experience was a great experience for me -- I went to school there for a year. I was born and raised in New Jersey, and so that sort of upbringing [shows] a grittier aspect to me, but then when I went to Philly and started working with Noah, I started being opened up to new kinds of music. He introduced me to MGMT and Passion Pit, all these different sounds that I would normally not even listen to. Growing up where I grew up, I was just listening to straight up urban hip-hop or whatever was on the radio. The album that we have worked on that's coming out at the end of the summer is the pros and cons of making it where we've made it at such a quick pace. We've dreamed about doing this, and it's what we've been waiting for, but the other side to [fame] is the fact that now we're always on the road and don't get to spend that much time with our friends and family. You really have to make sacrifices in order to pursue a dream.

Us: I know that you're from Nigeria, and you've said in past interviews that you like to stay in the know of what's going on over there. Do you use this knowledge to shed light on current issues in your raps?

CA: For sure. One of the earlier songs we recorded, "Sooner or Later," touches on some of those issues. I definitely try to shed light on real issues when the time calls for it. I've been to Nigeria once a year for the past five years, so I've observed some things, like how there's not 24-hour electricity over there and how families live on $300 a month. We actually did a video for it when I was in Nigeria from December to January. I shot footage of my tribals on a flip cam and brought back a whole bunch of raw footage of me going throughout the country, and our great in-house director guy edited it.

Us: How did you know which one of you would have the right sound to be the voice of your beats?

Noah Beresin: I've worked with a lot of rappers; I was a producer all throughout high school, too. What really struck me as the most difficult part to get across in our raps was the delivery. I've worked with tons and tons of rappers, but there are very few that can really deliver it so well. You can have amazing rhymes, but if you don't say it well, you're not going to be anywhere. Chiddy just cuts right through the track and you can really hear what he's saying. From a hip-hop and rap, and kind of pop perspective, that's really important that you do that.

Us: Who are some other artists you would like to work with?

NB: In the future, I'm probably going to work with Wale and I'd love to work with the greats -- Kanye and Jay Z

Wiz Khalifa Wins MTV's 'Hottest Breakthrough MC Of 2010' Contest

After four weeks and more than 200,000 votes, Wiz Khalifa is MTV News' "Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010," beating out some 19 other candidates in a poll decided by you, the MTVNews.com readers.

The Kush & Orange Juice star won a tough competition, beating other top-5 finalists Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Travis Porter and Diggy Simmons. (Check back on Monday for the official poll results and rankings.)

The announcement was made Sunday (July 25) on MTV2's "Sucker Free Summit."

More than 200,000 votes were tallied, and Wiz's loyal "Taylor Gang" following was out in force, propelling the woozy-flowed rapper into the top spot.

Wiz broke onto the scene more than five years ago with his first mixtape, and his rise has been steady and deliberate, as he's gradually built a strong following and won over peers and DJs alike with his easygoing charm and laid-back rhymes.

"I'm digging Wiz. I'm digging what he's doing, especially coming from a place like Pittsburgh," DJ Drama told MTV News. "It's not necessarily that [Wiz] is a product of his environment, but it's always good to see someone put a city on the map [like Wiz has]."

To recap the rules, this poll was strictly limited to up-and-coming talent: artists could not have released a major-label album by June 21, 2010, or been voted into a previous "Hottest MCs in the Game" top 10, so MCs like Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Eminem, Kanye West and even Drake — our #3 Hottest MC last year - and chart-topper B.o.B were not eligible. (We'll have the 2010 "Hottest MCs" rollout later this year.) Voters were asked to base their decisions on the following factors: The MC's musical skill (rhyme ability, flow and songwriting) as well as their buzz on the street and the impact they've had on the game so far.

Omarion Lashes Amber Rose. Says She Lacks Class

Former B2K star turned solo singer Omarion was caught making some slick remarks about Kanye West's on-again, off-again girlfriend Amber Rose.

The 24-year-old pop singer, who was rumored to be dating a bisexual stripper much like Rose, denied reports that he was involved with a dancer and said that women of their caliber lacked class.

He made his point very clear saying “No Amber Rose for me” and described his relationship status in an interview with

Sister 2 Sister magazine saying,

“No disrespect, but no Amber Rose for me. Everybody has their past - and don't get me wrong, I'm not judgmental at all - but I do like a certain amount of class...I'm not married. I'm chilling. At this moment I'm not (dating). I have friends that I converse with, and I have that male-female camaraderie, but there's no girlfriend at the moment."

Omarion is currently continuing on tour dates with scheduled stops in Japan and Korea.

The Game Recruits Drake On THE R.E.D. Album

Compton, Hip-Hop star Game took advantage of an album delay to add some superstar fire power to his upcoming release The R.E.D. Album.

The R.E.D. Album, which was originally due in stores on June 15th, has been pushed back to August 24th.

Last Wednesday (June 23rd), Game was in Encore Studios in Burbank, California, where he linked with Cool & Dre, who produced three tracks on The R.E.D. Album.

In the studio with Game was chart-topping rapper Drake, who laid down a verse for the song “Good Girl, Bad Girl” and Queen Latifah, who was there to witness the session.

Drake is a breath of fresh air for everybody, he’s cool, clean and he aint got no drama or beef,” Game said. “The chicks love him, the n***as support him.”

Drake’s latest album received a lot of support, moving over 446,000 copies during the first week of its release, on June 15th.

Prior to the album’s release, Interscope changed the June 15th release date of Thank Me Later and Game accurately predicted Drake’s success.

“Me, I am just trying to feed my family and remain potent in Hip-Hop,” Game said. “I know the caliber emcee that I am and I know for a fact I am needed in Hip-Hop. I am one of the few cats left that really cares about the essence of Hip-Hop. I can’t disrespect the colorful Hip-Hop or the “drake” era, so I have to blend into what Hip-Hop has elevated to, but I have to stay true to my roots. It’s longevity with me. I have a whole new motivation. I love music and I love where its going.”

The R.E.D. Album is due in stores August 24th.

Lauryn Hill To Stage A Comeback After 8 Years

After eight years of musical obscurity, rapper and singer Lauryn Hill says she's now ready to record again.

"I think it's just time," Hill tells National Public Radio's Zoe Chace after her recent performance at the Harmony Festival in Santa Rosa, Calif.

Hill, who is now 35, earned herself an everlasting spot in the music landscape, thanks to her multi-platinum selling album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" and her work with the Fugees.

Soon after taking home five trophy's at the 1999 Grammy awards, Hill left the music scene and kept under the radar, living a low-key life with her partner Rohan Marley (son of the late reggae singer Bob Marley) and their five children. In 2002, she briefly emerged from her self-imposed exile to help unveil her new material in 'MTV Unplugged"

For the past decade, the "Everything is Everything" singer rarely performed or granted interviews with the press, which helped stir rumors that suggested she had suffered an emotional breakdown.

Hill explains her absence, saying "the support system that I needed was not necessarily in place. There were things about myself, personal-growth things, that I had to go through in order to feel like it was worth it."
She continues to say that the demand of the music industry took a toll on her. "Oftentimes," Hill says, "the machine can overlook the need to take care of the people who produce the sounds that have a lot to do with the health and well-being of society...And it's important that people be given the time that they need to go through, to grow, so that the consciousness level of the general public is properly affected."

But now that Hill's youngest child is 2 and "old enough" for her to be away from her family for a period of time, Hill is ready to start recording.

"I'm starting to get excited again. Believe it or not, I think what people are attracted to about me, if anything, is my passion. People got exposed to my passion through music and song first...And I think that can be infectious.
