Dame Dash Hits Director Lee Daniels With $25 Million Lawsuit For Failure To Repay Business Loans

Dame Dash has grown tired of director Lee Daniels stiffing him on business loans. The former Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder has filed a lawsuit seeking $25 million, according to TMZ.



The dealings between the two go back as far as the 2004 movie The Woodsman. Dame says Daniels convinced him to invest $2 million in the film and never paid him a dime in compensation.







Dame claims he also invested in The Butler, The Paperboy and Precious. In addition to being screwed financially, Dame says he didn't get executive producer and producer credits on the films as promised.

Nicki Minaj is breathing rarefied air reserved for the best artists the music business has to offer. Her latest single entitled "Anaconda" enters the charts at No. 19, giving her a whopping 51 Billboard Hot 100 appearances.



The feat pushed her past the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and ties her with Rod Stewart for the most Hot 100 hits in history.







It should be noted that only 20 of Nicki's Hot 100 songs were as a lead or co-lead artist. The rest came from feature appearances..

Martin Lawrence Announces "Bad Boys 3" On Conan [Video]

Martin Lawrence made a big announcement during his recent appearance on Conan. The comedian/actor said fans can expect the third installment of the Bad Boys movie franchise soon.



"I just talked to [producer] Jerry [Bruckheimer] yesterday and he said it's real, they're working on the script, they're getting close, and it all looks good," Lawrence said.







IMDB lists the movie as having a July 4, 2015 release date. Will Smith will reprise his role as Detective Mike Lowrey. Lawrence is back as Detective Marcus Barnett. Michael Bay is rumored to be back in the director's chair.

Stevie J On The Right Track. Clean Of Cocaine & Weed During Court-Ordered Drug Tests. Still Owes $1 Million In Child Support

Something good has come out of Stevie J's child support case. The Grammy Award-winning producer was ordered to take drug tests and he's tested clean for seven weeks. Specifically for cocaine and weed. That's commendable because it's not easy to quit cold turkey without going to rehab.







Stevie now needs to work on the $1 million he owes in child support.



As previously reported, he was arrested in Georgia in June on a criminal complaint that says he owed $1,107,412 in back child support. After posting $25,000 bail, Stevie had to appear in the Southern District of New York where the criminal complaint was filed. The drug tests were a part of his court-ordered agreement.



He also owes $371,000 to the IRS.

Real Drive-By Shooting Near N.W.A. Movie Set In Compton Has Some Members Of The Cast Nervous

Production on the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton is in full swing. Director F. Gary Gray has the cast shooting scenes in Compton, California, where they got an up close and personal view of what it's really like to live in the neighborhood.



A scene was being shot in front of the Compton Courthouse last week when several men from the neighborhood were walking by and flashed gang signs at a passing car. Gunfire erupted and one person was injured and fell near the movie set. The victim survived, but the shooting made some of the cast and crew members nervous even though they weren't the target of the shooters



TMZ reports that the L.A. County Sheriff's Department is investigating the shooting. In the meantime Gray plans to continue filming in Compton.

Why do people pay good money to go to a concert and act a damn fool? That won't be a concern for the 20/20 club in Odessa, Texas because they've banned rap shows after people in the crowd at a recent Webbie concert started brawling and hitting each other with bar stools.



It seems unfair to ban all rappers, especially when you consider Webbie had nothing to do with the fight, but the club's manager told TMZ he doesn't like this kind of "ghetto stuff."







5 people were hauled off to jail.

50 Cent & G-Unit Will Rock Chelsea Handler's Live Finale August 26

50 Cent will be joined by Kidd Kidd, Tony Yayo, Young Buck and Lloyd Banks when he returns to the Chelsea Handler Show on the star-studded special live finale on August 26.



G-Unit will perform and 50 is expected to sit down for an interview with Chelsea.



It will mark the end the of the talk show host's successful seven-year run on E!. In addition to G-Unit the finale will have more than 30 celebrities stop by to wish Chelsea a fond farewell. Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston are confirmed guests.







35 entertainers will collaborate on a song to close out the show. Lil Durk Explains Why He Compared Himself To 2Pac & Why He Believes He's The Best Rapper Alive [Video]

Lil Durk addresses a comment he made about feeling like Tupac, and says that he meant it in terms of people stepping to him in the streets. The Chicago rapper said that aside from people that he's beefing with, no one is stepping to him and his boys when they're out.


When asked about saying he's the best rapper alive, Durk says that he has to think that way because his career would have no meaning if he didn't believe he was the best in the game. He also says his work ethic isn't at the level of some of the greats like Tupac, and Durk believes he could step it up in that regard.


The conversation then moves to Young Chop's influence on the Chicago sound, and Durk says the famed producer "played a big role" in molding the sound. The "Want it All" rapper also shares his thoughts on Chop's comments about Lil Reese being one of the most talented rappers in the game. Durk says that if Reese wasn't talented then people wouldn't know his name, and points out that Reese started the "stutter rap" that other big names have now adopted.

If he's free now from a deal where he made a major, major company some major, major, major cash. He knows the blueprint, he knows how to do it. So, why not do it for yourself? It's all growing. We don't know this, but at some point in the future 50 Cent could be the owner of the next Interscope Records."
