DMX Denied Bail, To Spend Thanksgiving Behind Bars

DMX got some bad news on Wednesday (November 24), he'll be spending his Thanksgiving in jail ... at least, until his next court appearance. The rapper (real name: Earl Simmons) appeared before an Arizona judge this morning, and was denied bail until at least December 9th, the date of his next appearance in court. X was arrested on Thursday (November 18) for violating terms of his probation, including drug use (cocaine and Oxycontin), failing to submit to drug testing and counseling, and driving with a suspended license. When he appeared before the judge Wednesday, he denied the charges. DMX was placed on probation last year for charges of attempted aggravated assault and using a false identity to avoid paying medical bills. He has a long history of legal trouble in Arizona. Prior to the arrest, the rapper was attempting a comeback in music. A week ago, he performed at the Venue in Scottsdale, Arizona ... following the release of a new single, titled "Ya'll Don't Know," which recently leaked to the Internet. X' manager, Nakia Walker, told the Phoenix New Times that the rapper and his team are waiting to see the outcome of his next court date before resuming comeback plans. However, she added that new music is ready to go and will be released early next year. He is being held in Maricopa County.
