Her album may be titled No Boys Allowed, but that doesn’t mean Keri Hilson has totally banned the opposite sex. The R&B diva has recruited Chris Brown, Kanye West, and Rick Ross for her sophomore set.
Executive produced by Timbaland and Polow Da Don, the follow-up to last year’s In a Perfect World… features appearances by the aforementioned artists and production by Danjahandz, Ne-Yo, John Legend and Jerry Wonder (“All the Boys”), Ryan Leslie, Boi-1da, Stargate, and Ne-Yo and Chuck Harmony, who helmed the single “Pretty Girl Rock.”
“It’s not about excluding men,” Keri explained of the album’s title. “It’s more about women understanding that there comes a time in your life when you want a man. A real man. A grown up. Not a boy. And that’s not a bad thing.”
A video for the Rick Ross-assisted “The Way You Love Me” was recently shot with director-choreographer Laurieann Gibson and features cameos from JoJo, Faith Evans, Lloyd, and more.
To promote the album, due December 21, Keri will appear on the American Music Awards, “VH1 Divas Salute the Troops,” Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, “Today,” and CBS’ “A Home for the Holidays.”
