Lil Wayne Speaks For The First Time Since Leaving Prison

MTV's Sway caught up with the recently released Lil Wayne at a recent party in Miami.

In his first interview since his release from Riker's Island last week, Young Money superstar Lil Wayne caught up with MTV's Sway to discuss his return to music and free society. Accompanied by two showgirls and fellow Cash Money rapper Birdman, Weezy F. took a moment to thank his family, friends and fans for all their support over the past months.

"I just want to thank everybody," Weezy told Sway. "Not just the MTV fans, but all my fans across the world, and most of all my family. I couldn't have done it without them and I won't ever do it without them."
Wayne also talked briefly about his recent surprise performance with fellow Young Money star Drake at a recent show in Las Vegas. He said that returning to the stage with Drake for the first time was an indescribable experience.

"[Performing with Drake in Las Vegas] was incredible, words can't explain and I'm good with words," he joked.

Birdman also shed some light on what Wayne intended to tackle next with regards to music. He said that although Wayne has a number of different projects still on the table, it's completely up to him to decide what project he wants to release next.

"[Wayne] is the shot caller, so whatever he wants to do, it's the green light," said Birdman. "We just want to pop bottles tonight and have fun."
