Black Eyed Peas Branch Out With Animated Cartoon, Memoir

While will.i.am lends his voice to a star studded animated feature, Taboo releases a book.

While the Black Eyed Peas are mainly known for music, a few of its members have decided to branch out. will.i.am, often touted as the leader of the group, will lend his vocal talents to another group of stars for Rio, an animated feature that will also include Tracy Morgan, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Jesse Eisenberg, George Lopez and more.

The film is about a fictional character named Blu, a domesticated macaw from Minnesota who meets another character, Jewel, and it follows them as they take a trip to Brazil's Rio de Janeiro. The film will hit theaters in April of 2011.

Another BEP member, Taboo, is releasing a book, Fallin' Up: My Story. The book is meant to take readers through his upbringing in East Los Angeles, California and then later through his rise to fame. The book is said to tackle issues including alcoholism and drug addiction while also showing the great highlights that music has provided for him.

Fans can begin pre-ordering the book now but it will be released on February 8, 2011.
