Mos Def Lands Role As Hardened Criminal On The Showtime Series 'Dexter



Showtime has announced that Mos Def will be joining the cast of the show 'Dexter' in season six.

The 37-year old rapper/actor will play Brother Sam, an ex-con who claims to have found religion, but still finds himself surrounded by violence.

Mos, real name Dante Terrell Smith has built up some impressive acting credits, having starred in '16 Blocks', 'The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy', 'Bamboozled' and more.

The new season of 'Dexter' starts shooting in June in Los Angeles.
