Lil Mama is bringing the East and West Coasts together. The New Yorker has hooked up with West Coast kingpin Snoop Dogg for a new collaboration.
The record called “NY NY LA LA” is set to debut in the coming weeks. “Me and Snoop got together and reworked ‘New York, New York’ for L.A.,” the “America’s Best Dance Crew” judge said. “We reworked it, representing East and West Coast and all of America.”
The 21-year-old femcee, who made her debut three years ago with VYP: Voice of the Young People, says working with Tha Doggfather was a breeze. “Snoop is like family. He really embraced me. That’s my guy right there. It’s always a pleasure and he’s really busy, as far as music is concerned, so for him to take the time out to work with me on my record was an absolute pleasure.”
While she is releasing new music, the free agent has no immediate plans to put out a full album. “I don’t know about another album,” adds Mama. “Taking it one day at a time.
