Oftentimes, in our quest for material wealth we tend to forget about the social injustice done to us as a people. However, fame and stature does not immune one from the common practice of police brutality, discrimination, verbal intimidation or degradation, committed by an officer on a civilian. R&B singer Solange found out first hand what the average black person goes through in our communities when confronted by a rogue police officer. Police brutality is an endemic in the black community and hopefully her commitment to eradicate it will bring more light to the situation.
