Adele Leads American Music Awards Nominations With 4. Lil Wayne Is Close Behind With 3. Chris Brown Up For 2

Adele leads the pack in nominations for the 39th annual American Music Awards, which were announced today.


The British singer whose album, 21, has been sitting on the Billboard 200 chart for 32 weeks is nominated in four categories.


Lil Wayne, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, The Band Perry, Taylor Swift and Rihanna are up for three awards each.


Kanye West, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, LMFAO and Jason Aldean follow closely behind with two nominations apiece.

The AMA's will be shown live on Nov. 20 from the Nokia Theatre in L.A. and air live on ABC.
