R. Kelly Blames ‘The Notebook’ For His Divorce

R Kelly has said that Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’ sizzling chemistry in ‘The Notebook’ led him to the conclusion that his marriage was over.

I’m sure you’ve kept up with the new Vh1 reality series ‘Hollywood Exes’, you would have seen that R.Kelly’s ex-wife of 14 years Andrea Kelly is a cast member.

Despite the fact that the movie was released in 2004 and he did not part ways with Andrea Kelly until 2009, he revealed in his book Soulacoaster that the romance in the movie taught him that the spark in his own relationship had died out.

He recalled: “As the film credits started to roll, I couldn’t move. I burst into tears.

The Notebook was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together. And there was nothing I could do to bring it back.”

This is the crazy part: R.Kelly dared his wife Andrea to toss her $50,000 wedding ring into a pond into their backyard to prove she didn’t love him anymore…guess what…she threw that sucker into the pond.
