Lee Thompson Young, Former Star Of Disney's 'The Famous Jett Jackson' Commits Suicide At Age 29 [Video]

We're sad to report that Lee Thompson Young has died from an apparent suicide at the age of 29.

Most well known for his role as the lead character in The Famous Jett Jackson, the young actor had continued to make a name for himself in both movie and television roles.

Other acting credits included Friday Night Lights, The Guardian, South Beach, Scrubs, Smallville, Rizzoli & Isles plus many more.

His body was found inside his North Hollywood home on Monday. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. There was no suicide note left.

Lee's publicist issued a statement to TMZ:

It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning.  Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed.

Rest in peace Lee.
