Justin Bieber's Sizzurp Use Reportedly Out Of Control Since His Move To Atlanta
Justin Bieber fled California to get away from constant problems, but his move to Atlanta doesn't appear to have helped him exorcise his personal demons.
TMZ reports that the singer's weed and lean use are out of control. Justin developed an addiction to sizzurp while in Cali. His team kept him busy though, which didn't allow him as much free time as he now has in Atlanta.
According to the report, sources close to Justin say he rarely leaves the house and is, "Drinking more lean, smoking more weed than ever."
Justin's lean sipping brand of choice is Activis prometh with codeine cough syrup. A brand TMZ calls the "champagne of sizzurp." It costs around $800 a pint. That's chump change to the pop star whose net worth is around $130 million.
In 2013 Forbes ranked Justin No. 9 on their list of The World's Most Powerful Celebrities. Hopefully someone will be able to save him from himself before he throws away all he's worked hard to achieve

DMX Blames Foreclosure Struggle On His Ex-Wife
DMX's home in Westchester, New York recently went into foreclosure. But according to the troubled rapper, it's all his ex-wife Tashera Simmons' fault.
Reports TMZ:
TMZ broke the story ... DMX's house in fancy Mt. Kisco, New York is in foreclosure after the rapper stopped paying the mortgage in 2008.
The house is in DMX's name -- but the rapper tells us, he stopped living there in 2005 and his wife Tashera agreed to take over all financial responsibilities related to the home, including mortgage payments.
X claims Tashera then withdrew $100,000 from his bank account while he was in jail -- without his permission -- and didn't even use it to pay the mortgage. He says he has no idea what she actually did with the money.
This story is similar to Diddy's. The Bad Boy exec purchased a home for baby mama Misa Hylton-Brim but since his name is on the mortgage, he was on the hook when she stopped making payments.
Also worth noting is that Tashera Simmons is referred to as X's "estranged" wife, which means that their alleged divorce has been going on for at least three years.
"I told her she is living above her means, that you can't still live on the same block as Martha Stewart and Chevy Chase, you gotta downgrade, but she refuses to do so because the house is in my name. She doesn't give a f*** about my credit," the "Get At Me Dog" rapper told TMZ.
The struggle is so real.
Godzilla Official Trailer [VIDEO]
You only need to get into about 30 seconds of this new Godzilla trailer to realize that it's already better than the Matthew Broderick version.
Once again the big guy with the distinct growl and nuclear upbringing gets to wreak havoc on the planet. We get a decent look at the 2014 version and he looks quite fearsome. Also, it seems Heisenberg (Bryan Cranston) will be tasked with trying to save humanity.
An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
Gareth Edwards directs "Godzilla," which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson ("Kick-Ass"), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe ("The Last Samurai," "Inception"), Elizabeth Olsen ("Martha Marcy May Marlene"), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche ("The English Patient," "Cosmopolis"), and Sally Hawkins ("Blue Jasmine"), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn ("Good Night, and Good Luck.," "The Bourne Legacy") and Bryan Cranston ("Argo," TV's "Breaking Bad").
Godzilla will be in theaters May 16
Robin Thicke Pleads With Paula Patton Not To Divorce Him
Robin Thicke's alleged flirtatious ways landed him in the white-hot lights of divorce struggle and everybody knows it.
The seemingly happy Hollywood couple announced their separation yesterday (Feb. 25) after nine years of marriage and of course, the Internet males figured it was the perfect opportunity to catch Paula on the rebound.
But this is Robin's real life and he reportedly cancelled all his upcoming shows claiming "throat problems" and made the mad dash to Canada where his estranged wifey is filming her next movie to have a heartfelt plea for her forgiveness.
Via TMZ:
Sources connected with the couple tell us ... Paula Patton told Robin Friday she wanted to end the marriage. Robin then abruptly cancelled his show, saying he had throat problems. But the cancellation was solely so he could sit with his wife and try to change her mind.
We're told Paula -- who is shooting a movie in Vancouver -- and Robin had a long, face-to-face talk ... both acknowledging they had not been getting along and frequently arguing.
Our sources say in the end Robin realized Paula was determined to end the marriage and reluctantly agreed, but was very upset. We're told she was also upset.
The next day Robin cancelled his Orlando concert so he could be with their child.
On the bright side, history has shown us that breakups can lead to some incredible music being churned out. Just ask the multi-platinum plaques Usher earned for his album Confessions.
Bas – "Golden Goals" [VIDEO]
Now that J. Cole holds the title of CEO of Dreamville Records, many have high hopes for what the MC has in store for the label. Today, his artist Bas debuts a visual for "Golden Goals" from the Revenge Of The Dreamers mixtape.
The Queens-based rapper spits with vigor in the streets of a snowy New York City -- the projects to be exact. The fact that he's all alone in the treatment makes the scenes that much more captivating. Bas' rhymes require equal attention. "From the city where n***as turn a penny to a 20/ But when the penny turn, friends turn to enemies/ And semis turn urns into memories," he raps.
Bas a project on the way titled Last Winter, due to release March 6.
Akon Sued $125K For Skipping Rich Australian's Birthday Party
Akon and international lawsuits go hand in hand just like the Hip-Pop star does with holy matrimony.
A little over a month ago, Akon was sued by an Egyptian singer for failing to deliver on his alleged promise of bring Pitbull to a video shoot.
Now it appears that his word is fugazzi yet again as an Australian businessman is accusing the multi-platinum artist of bailing out of a performance two days before it was set to go down and pocketing the $125K he was paid up front.
Reports TMZ:
Akon knows how to spoil a birthday ... pocketing $125K to sing at a rich businessman's private party in Kuala Lumpur ... then allegedly canceling two days before his performance.
Patrick Grove -- an Aussie tech entrepreneur living in Malaysia -- claims he booked Akon for the private birthday bash last April ... working out all of the logistics with Akon's people and paying $125K in advance.
But Grove says he learned two days before the event the "Smack That" singer would be a no-show ... and was told it was because Akon wouldn't be anywhere near Malaysia because his Australian tour had been canceled.
Now Grove -- who's worth about $85 million -- wants his money back -- and then some.
The only lesson to be learned here is that there are plenty of other superstars located in the CONUS who won't let you rich folk down.
Oprah Winfrey Producing Martin Luther King Jr. Feature Film
There are a few films about Martin Luther King, Jr. in the works but Selma has brought on Oprah Winfrey as a producer, as well as Brad Pitt.
Reports Deadline:
Big news on the MLK movie front. Paramount is in final negotiations to acquire domestic distribution rights to Selma, a feature drama about Martin Luther King‘s 1965 landmark voting rights campaign regarded as the peak of the civil rights movement, and none other than Oprah Winfrey has boarded the project as producer.
Paramount is tying down U.S. and Canadian distribution rights to the film. Ava DuVernay, who came aboard the project in July, rewrote the script and slipped it to Winfrey, who sparked to DuVernay's rewrite. We've been waiting for a strong cinematic tribute to the iconic civil rights leader, and this remarkably becomes the second MLK project that Winfrey is involved with. Her Harpo also is behind a seven-part HBO miniseries America: In the King Years. Selma is on a much faster track. The plan is to get rolling in front of cameras as soon as possible. Lining up a domestic deal and a name of Winfrey's caliber were key to getting the ball rolling, and when the deal makes production is expected to start right away. Brad Pitt's Plan B and Christian Colson are already aboard as producers.
Another MLK movie, a biopic, isn't moving as swiftly. Oliver Stone backed out of his involvement in a movie about the late Civil Rights leader after his script was rejected for touching on all aspect of King's life, including alleged infidelity.
Also worth noting, writer DuVernay was the first Black woman to win Best Director at Sundance
Hit-Boy Speaks On "Trophies" Frustration, HS87, & More [VIDEO]
In a climate where artists often feel attacked by the media for one reason or another, it's rare that a rapper, singer, producer or the like are unguarded during interviews. Hit-Boy, however, gave that access to The STASHED while discussing seemingly everything under the sun during a recent interview.
The California native has steadily progressed, as he's crafted hit after hit in recent years. The latest is Drake's party starter "Trophies," a tune sonically distinct because of heavy horns and thumping drums that was supposed to appear on Nothing Was The Same. As we know, things didn't go quite as planned in that regard.
"Frustration is an understatement," Hit-Boy replied when asked about the song being in limbo for a bit. "But it's all love. I got respect for Drake. He knows what's best for him, and he's been dictating his career since day one. So I'm not going to come in and be like 'you got to use this song!' You know what I'm saying? He had 'Worst Behavior' and some other joints that was smacking and now it's time for 'Trophies' to tear these n***as apart!"
And that "Trophies" will do, as it's now an official single on Young Money's upcoming Rise of an Empire LP. Hear Hit-Boy speak more in-depth in the full interview
Young Thug Arrested In Atlanta For Controlled Substance & Reckless Driving [PHOTO]
Struggle and Young Thug are becoming fast friends and the 21-year-old rapper is just getting started with his career.
While Mr. Thug, real name Jeffery Williams, may or may not be signed to Cash Money Records, he most certainly signed his name with documents for the Atlanta Police Department to conduct an arrest after cops say he was "driving in a circular or zig-zag motion" without a seatbelt, and had an outstanding warrant stemming from a drug possession.
Via Complex:
Rapper Young Thug was reportedly arrested today in his home city of Atlanta. An anonymous source close to the artist told Complex that reports of the arrest were extremely reliable and added that details were still vague. The reason for the arrest allegedly "started as a traffic violation" but may have escalated.
When contacted for comment, the Atlanta Police Deparment stated that it could not disclose information about arrests.
Through the Fulton County, GA Inmate Records website, Complex has learned that Young Thug was charged yesterday with "Possession Of A Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Driving Without Seat Belt, Reckless Conduct, Driving In Circular Or Zig-Zag Course 'Laying Drags," and Reckless Driving.
Young Thug quickly rose to fame in late 2013 for his unorthodox appearance as a rapper and viral MP3 "Danny Glover" which even caught the attention of Kanye West and a remix with Nicki Minaj. He publicly announced that he was signed to Cash Money Records on February 16, although no other details were made available for an album release.

Nas Isn't Tripping Over Not Having A Grammy Award
Despite being one of Hip-Hop music's greatest lyricists of all time, Nas doesn't have a single Grammy award to his name. However, the Queensbridge rapper isn't worrying over that fact.
Nas was asked about the snub—he has 13 Grammy nominations—during a screening and panel at the Paley Center for Media for VH1's forthcoming The Tanning Of America documentary.
"I like that the Grammys nominated me," Nas said, reports Page Six, "I know the hugest platform for music is the Grammys, it matters . . . but something that huge is never gonna get it right. So it's OK. It gives me the opportunity to wear a nice suit on a red carpet."
Jermaine Dupri Sued For $1M By Ex-Business Partner
Jermaine Dupri has been a living, breathing example of the "mo money, mo problems" slogan for some time now and it doesn't seem like he can relinquish the title anytime soon.
It is being reported that Eddie Weathers, his former business partner over at Dieniahmar Music LLC, is suing him for a flat fee of one million bucks after Dupri (real name Jermaine Mauldin) allegedly cut him out of receiving royalty payments.
Struggle via Radar Online:
Weathers says he and Dupri — real name Jermaine Mauldin — created the company together in 2005 and “the name of the company was derived from the birth names of Weathers' and Mauldin's children Eddie Jr., Shaniah and Kamar.”
But in 2006 Dupri entered into a co-publishing deal with EMI Music and Weathers says he told them “he was the sole owner in Dieniahmar when in fact he was not.”
The court papers state that all royalties paid by EMI went directly to Dupri and his business manager between the years of 2006 and 2013.
Weathers claims that when Dupri hired a new business manager in 2011, Willie Carter, his payments ceased, or came late, or were just a fraction of what he was owed.
And when Dupri told Weathers he planned to sell Dieniahmar Music to EMI in April 2013, he claims he was promised a $238,000 cut — which he never got.
Dupri is going through a similar situation as the plaintiff with a personal banker-turned-swindler that could jeopardize his rights to the So So Def catalog.
Dupri is currently managing longtime friend and collaborator Mariah Carey.

Paula Patton and Robin Thicke have split up after 9 years of marriage. The two issued a statement announcing their separation to People.com.
"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,"
Thicke was involved in a couple of controversial moments with other females on the night of the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
The first involved his performance with Miley Cyrus at the show, where she twerked on him and used a foam finger to touch his private parts.
Then at a VMA after party he snapped a photo with a blonde women. In it his hand can be seen grabbing her butt.
Who knows if those incidents played a factor into the couple's split, but I'm sure they didn't help.

Atlanta's Buckhead Residents To Protest Justin Bieber's Move To Their Neighborhood [Video]
Justin Bieber's stay in a gated Calabasas, California community has been a nightmare for both the singer and his neighbors.
The Canadian pop star has had a run in with Keyshawn Johnson, been accused of spitting in a neighbors face and then egging his home, causing $20,000 in damage.
In January police raided the home looking for evidence in the egg throwing incident. They took Justin's surveillance system and arrested his friend Lil Za, charging him with felony possession of ecstacy and oxycodone
Justin is desperate to move out of his Cali mansion and has his eyes set on a $10 million crib in Atlanta's ritzy Buckhead neighborhood. The only problem is, residents don't want him there.
Justin Bieber's possible Atlanta mansion
The Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition has set up a Facebook page to help organize a protest planned for Monday (February 24), with the intention of keeping Justin out.
The Facebook page's mission statement reads:
As a community here in Buckhead, we have worked hard to achieve our goals and get to where we are. Justin Bieber's relocation to Atlanta can be nothing but bad for our children, as well as the community. Some can't even let their children play in the driveway without fear; he has raced vehicles under the influence, before. What's to say he won't do it again? As a home owner down the street from this residence, one can assume many people will be contacting real estate agents soon enough.
Please do not allow a child to ruin what we have worked so hard to obtain.
Thanks for the support!
"Frankly, my dear, I think he is a gnat on the windshield of life and what he does is of zero importance to me, unless he impinges on the rights of others while doing so," resident Vicki Palefsky, told Access Atlanta. "Thank God I am not his mother or this would be a different story entirely however."
The protest will be attended by at least 200 people.
"It's a well established neighborhood that we like to keep quiet, private and safe," said resident Ron Sands.

Nicki Minaj and her legal team have a court battle ahead of them. The Young Money star is being sued by her former stylist who says he is responsible for creating her unique look.
According to TMZ, Terrence Davidson says that in 2010 he created "fresh, hip and unique wigs" for the rapper. Davidson claims Minaj stole his designs and took the credit for them herself.
He also accuses Nicki of costing him a multi-million dollar reality show by convincing him it would damage their business partnership.
The two parted ways in January of 2013. At the time Davidson issued a statement citing "creative differences" for the split.
“It has been an amazing experience offering me a chance to express my creativity and exhibit my love for the art form of wig design,” he said at the time.

Terrence Howard To Star In Hip-Hop Drama On FOX
Terrence Howard's Hip-Hop credentials have been stamped ever since he rapped the Academy Award-winning country rap tune "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp" for his Oscar-nominated performance in Hustle & Flow.
Now it's being announced that he's turning his attention towards primetime television for a new series on FOX that will revolve around him starring as record label head who is adamant about his business by any means necessary, possibly à la Suge Knight.
Via The Hollywood Reporter:
Howard will play Lucious Lyon, the head of a record label, in the drama from The Butler's Daniels and Strong. Lucious is described as charismatic, tough, wise and a superstar in the music industry who oversees Empire Entertainment and is about to take the company public. Raised on the streets, he has never backed away from a fight and will resort to any measures, fair or foul, to defend his beloved Empire.
The part marks Howard's latest TV role at Fox since joining the network's M. Night Shyamalan event series, Wayward Pines, which debuts in July. From 2010-11, he toplined NBC's short-lived Law & Order spinoff, Law & Order: LA.
The show is being developed by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, who are coming of their hugely successful film Lee Daniels' The Butler, which grossed nearly $170M worldwide where Daniels and Strong directed and wrote the screenplay, respectively.
Cam'ron & Nas Squash Beef, Pose For Pic [PHOTO]
Following his legendary "Ether" diss in 2001, Nas went on to war with several well-known Hip-Hop aficionados in the New York State for various reasons.
While he has since made up with the likes of Jay Z, N.O.R.E and Funkmaster Flex, one particular rapster who missed the reconciliation meeting was Cam'ron.
During a 2002 interview on Hot 97, Nas got a little flagrant and professed his love for Killa while calling his album Come Home with Me straight up "wack."
Cam'ron been trill before he was making Andrew Jackson money from street vasectomies and he and the Dips launched a full onslaught that spiraled on for a few years.
The two rap kings haven't sparred in some time but they weren't exactly chummy either. Feelings change like the seasons however, and the two crossed paths on Feb. 17.
But like grown men, there was no was living in the past. Nas is still championing the phrase "life as good" as his Illmatic documentary will kick off the Tribeca Film Festival with a bang.
Cam'ron, who is in at Agenda Las Vegas, was still wearing his MDR hat from the event and posted the pic with his trademark caption, "#QB #HARLEM #UwasntThere."
One keen Instagram user tygah pointed out "That Spanish n***a in the middle was there" but we get the gist of it.
Swizz Beatz, French Montana, Kid Ink's Reebok Classics Freestyle At Agenda Las Vegas 2014 [VIDEO]
If you let Rick Ross tell it, there's Reebok and everything else, including Vans.
Yesterday's Agenda Las Vegas 2014 expo at the Sands Expo Convention Center reached its Hip-Hop apex when the Reebok Classics "The Retro Shop" hold court at the building's front in. It was a fully operational two-chair seatup, laden in Reebok memoriabilia and since Reebok is now chosen footwear of many rappers, they decided to entertain the people with a barbershop's ambiance.
Swizz Beatz, creative director of Reebok Classics, was sure to remind everywhere just that by saying "I got love for all those other brands like Jordan and Nike but they only give my people a box. Reebok gives our culture an opportunity."
The homogolous mix of entourages nodded in agreement as did Ross and French Montana, as they occupied both barber chairs. "My man Ross just bought one of the biggest cribs in America! What's he gonna do with a box?," Swizz continued.
When Don Cannon begin to spin The Notorious B.I.G.'s classic "Who Shot Ya" instrumental, that was all Swizz needed to take it upon himself to continue on as master of ceremony and hold an impromptu cypher to a host of unwillingingly participants. I mean--they tried; Travis Scott, Kid Ink, French Montana all attempted to kick rhymes from the top of their dome but the 90s are over and that sort of raw talent is hard to come by these.
Although there wasn't any rewind-worthy moments lyrically, it was still a memorable moment for the culture and Agenda 2014 as a whole.
"Everybody else, your booth is done," Swizz finalized the cypher with, obvious that his barbershop hangout had dominated hour.
Nas Time Is Illmatic Doc To Open 2014 Tribeca Film Festival
2014 is shaping up to be a big year for Nas. A new documentary, Time Is Illmatic, about the Queensbridge rapper's debut album will be the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival's opening night film.
The doc traces the creation of Nas' seminal debut album, Illmatic, which was released 20 years ago. The TFF announced today (February 19) that it would be making the film's world premiere on Wednesday, April 16.
Following the film's debut will be a special performance by Nas of the entire Illmatic album, as he plans to do at Coachella, too. Time Is Illmatic was directed by One9, a multimedia artist, and written by well-respected journalist Erik Parker. Both, along with Anthony Saleh, are producers of the film, which came to fruition thanks to The Ford Foundation's Just Films and Tribeca Film Institute's Tribeca All Access program..
"I want to thank the Tribeca Film Festival for supporting the film with the incredible platform they've built over the years," said Nas in a press statement. "It's an honor to premiere this film in my hometown. I also want to thank One9 and Erik Parker for their persistence and hard work. Those guys and I come from the same place and era, which gives the doc an authenticity that is important to me. We wanted this film to represent the real, from the storyline all the way down to the directors and producers."
Earlier this year, Nas said that he doesn't listen to Illmatic.
A special 20th anniversary edition of Illmatic called Illmatic XX will be released on April 15 via SONY Legacy.
Jada Pinkett Smith Joins Cast Of Fox's Batman Prequel Gotham
Jada Pinkett Smith makes a return to television after being signed to join the cast of Fox's Batman-related prequel series, Gotham. Smith will play the character of Fish Mooney, a notorious mob boss who has connections to one of Batman's greatest foes.
Entertainment Weekly reported on the news of the addition of Pinkett Smith to Gotham's cast, and the choice of the attractive actress as a street gangster is interesting to say the least. And while Pinkett Smith has played tough characters in her past roles, stepping in as a villain in the universe of one of DC Comics' most famous heroes is a big step. Entertainment Weekly has more.
From Entertainment Weekly:
In the show, Fish is “a sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner, she's got the street smarts and almost extra-sensory abilities to read people like an open book. Imposing and hotheaded, she's not one to be crossed.” Fish Mooney also the boss of a young psycho named Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor), who eventually becomes The Penguin (and we all know what penguins eat … right?).
The casting marks The Matrix Reloaded and Revolution‘s actress return to TV following the axing of her 2009 medical drama TNT series Hawthorne.
According to EW, a source close to the Gotham production team say that Fish Mooney may be an original character although roles cast thus far have characters from the world of Batman.

Brian McKnight Sues Accountant For Ruining His Life
R&B singer Brian McKnight has some serious financial issues, and it's all his account's fault. According to a lawsuit filed by the crooner, Vernon Brown and Company has turned his life into a shambles of unpaid taxes, liens and suspended driver's licenses.
Reports TMZ:
McKnight has filed a lawsuit against Vernon Brown and Company, claiming Brown ruined his life by not paying ANY of Brian's taxes for close to a decade ... resulting not only in more than a million bucks in back taxes, but more than $500K in penalties and interest.
Here's how bad McKnight says it got ... In the lawsuit he claims Brown knew he screwed up and secretly contacted Congressman Henry Waxman and gave him a phony sob story that got Waxman to contact the IRS and get McKnight back on an installment plan.
McKnight says Brown was so bad he screwed up the installment plan and the taxes were never paid.
McKnight says his credit is now crap, his house has a lien, his music royalties have been frozen and his life is in shambles. Not only that, McKnight says his driver's license has been suspended for failing to pay back taxes, and because his son shares the same name HIS license was suspended as well.
And here's an honor no one wants ... McKnight says he landed on California's Top 500 Delinquent Taxpayers.
That R&B struggle is real. Get thee to the studio, Mr. McKnight. No more of this nonsense, though.

Suge Knight Says Kendrick Lamar & The Game Have Slave Record Deals "You're Thanking Somebody For Stabbing You In The Back" [Video]
Suge Knight was a guest on The Arsenio Hall Show. The former Death Row RecordsCEO explains what happened at the weed shop in California when he punched a man in the face.
Suge went on to discuss artists like D.O.C., The Game and Kendrick Lamar, who in his opinion got bad record deals.
"If you look at Interscope, the 2 guys from Compton, Game and Kendrick Lamar got 2 of the worst deals in the industry," Suge said. "And when you look at it, it's not so much the production company's fault. But what people don't realize is that Universal is the ship Then Interscope get their cut. Then Aftermath get their cut. Then G-Unit get their cut. Then another production company. Then [what was left] came to Game. Then with Kendrick Lamar it was the guy who put the deal together. In reality, it's more slavery now than ever. When you was a slave you was like, 'sh*t, it's bad.' But it's worse when somebody make you be a celebrity and put you on a status and you're like thanking a person for stabbing you in the back."
Basically, The Game wasn't making any money while signed to Interscope/Aftermath. He's out of the contract now so maybe he learned a lesson. As far as Kendrick, Suge didn't fully explain his deal. so it's hard to say where he stands contractually
