Uncle Luke Owes IRS $74K

Former 2 Live Crew frontman Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell had better try to lean on one of the popular rappers he slandered to sample another one of his songs.

The federal alphabet boys who only care about money says he owes a whooping $74K in unpaid taxes.

Reports TMZ:

The 2 Live Crew song "Face Down Ass Up" pretty much describes the position Luther Campbell finds himself in right now ... because the Tax Man's about to rip him a new one.

Campbell -- famous for the 2LC hit, "Me So Horny" -- just got slapped with a $74K federal tax lien.

According to IRS docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Luther didn't pay either all or some of his 2012 taxes.

Campbell famously fought the government once before and won ... after a federal appeals court threw out a ruling by a lower court judge that the group's album, "As Nasty As They Wanna Be," was obscene.

Campbell's news anecdotes in recent years have only been rooted in struggle so this incident comes as no surprise, yet had he played nice with the younger generation, who's to say a few appearances here and there--or even a revert in the old 2 Live Crew would have thwarted this ordeal?

In 2012, Campbell publicly went to war with French Montana, Drake, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne over the song "Pop That," which sampled 2 Live Crew's "I Wanna Rock." Lil Wayne was quick to clap back with suggestions for Campbell to play in rush hour traffic.
