Dr. Dre is perhaps Compton's most well known native son. The 49-year old super producer has been representing the city that birthed him by crafting hit records for three decades.
Mayor Aja Brown would like to honor Dre, real name Andre Young, by giving him a key to the city.

According to TMZ, Brown would like Dre to get involved in city projects by sponsoring performance arts or music programs.
