Snoop Dogg Says Hip Hop Won't Accept A Gay Rapper. Hot 97's Ebro Thinks They Are Already Here
Snoop Dogg a.k.a. Snoop Lion recently stated that the hip hop community would not support an openly gay rapper because the culture is all about masculinity. In Snoop's opinion Frank Ocean was accepted because he's a singer.
"Frank Ocean ain't no rapper. He's a singer. It's acceptable in the singing world, but in the rap world I don't know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine," the rapper told The Guardian. "It's like a football team. You can't be in a locker room full of motherf*cking tough-a$ dudes, then all of a sudden say, 'Hey, man, I like you.' You know, that's going to be tough."
On Hot 97's Ebro said that fans are already supporting gay rappers, they just don't know it.
"We're probably supporting a gay rapper right now," Ebro said. "Based on the number of gay Americans there are that we know about, odds are are that one of these rappers is probably gay."

Family Of Michael Clarke Duncan Investigating His Fiancee Omarosa Manigault To See If She Influenced Him To Make Her The Main Beneficiary Of His Will Prior To His Death
The family of late actor Michael Clarke Duncan think something fishy may have taken place regarding his will in the months leading up to his death.
Duncan's sister, Judy, has hired a lawyer to investigate the circumstances that led up to him changing his will. And to find out if his fiancee, Omarosa Manigault, had anything to do with it.
In April 2012 Duncan made Omarosa the main beneficiary of his will. His family doesn't think the "Green Mile" actor was in his right state of mind at the time. They claim that as early as December 2011 he began to show signs that he was ill by slurring his words and stumbling around, reports TMZ.
Judy claims Omarosa became fixated on her brother's money after he suffered a heart attack in July 2012, heightening the family's suspicions of her. Duncan was subsequently placed on life support. He passed away on September 3, 2012 at the age of 54.
Duncan's family is also angry because Omarosa has sold many of his possessions without their knowledge including his "Green Mile" director's chair, awards, cars and watches.
Omarosa made a statement to TMZ accusing Judy of being the one who is after Duncan's money.
"I don't control the estate or the finances and Judy knows it. If you saw all of her emails and texts to me you would see that she is just trying to get money from me, and threatened going to press if I did not give it to her and that is a crime!"
Duncan left Judy $100,000 in his will.

Ray J Dropping A New Single Titled "I Hit It First," Artwork Suggests Kim Kardashian
Ray J, last seen getting swung on by rapper Bad Azz, is one funny, or slanderous depending on your perspective, character. The R&B crooner is dropping a new single called "I Hit It First." Of course, that title will automatically have many wondering if he is referring to his blue movie co-star Kim Kardashian and it's artwork will also bolster that belief.
By now we all know it was Brandy's brother fornicating with Kim on video that sent her on her way to fame. Even her current boyfriend, and baby daddy to be, Kanye West said so."Break records in Louis, ate breakfast at Gucci/My girl a superstar all from a home movie/Bow at our arrival, the un-American Idols." spits Ye on the Hit-Boy produced "Clique."
But Ray is upping the ante with his new single's artwork. It features a pixelated image that very well could be of Kim Kardashian. The photo of what might be original image, Kardashian in a bikini, can be seen below. "I Hit It First" will premiere on TMZ at 7 a.m. ET on Monday(April 8) morning.
For the record, Ray J is 32-years-old.
Future Talks Future Hendrix, Rihanna, Auto-Tune & More [VIDEO]
Future set out to make his mark in 2013, and so far he's showed and proved by dropping, penning, and crooning on some of the biggest records of the year. This alone made a great candidate to sit in the hot seat on this week's episode of Life+Times' series The Roundup, hosted by veteran journalist Shaheem Reid.
The sit down falls in line with those in previous episodes, as Reid facilitates more of a natural dialogue than an interview with the Atlanta native. Among the topics discussed were his influences, his musical family, how he found autotune, collaborating with Rihanna and more.
Little do people know that Future's cousin is Rico Wade of Organized Noize, who was a member of ATL's infamous Dungeon Family. For context, know that this is the clique that bred Outkast and The Goodie Mobb.
"Through the Dungeon Family I got my name Future. I was the youngest one at the dungeon. They older guys, they like 10-15 years older than me, so they just called me the future since I was so young," said the "Karate Chop" rapper.
"You just learned so much being at the Dungeon like you at school. You got Big Rube, you got dudes like Khujo, you got Cee-Lo, you know they minds so big and it just expands you," continued Future, who says The Dungeon Family didn't feel his use of autotune at first.
Ironically, that vocal effect has taken him to the top, despite his naysayers. Even with his newfound star power, Future is still inspired by the game and cherishes what it's done for him. This includes him receiving a surprising call to work with Jennifer Lopez
Kelly Rowland Visits The Breakfast Club, Talks New Album + Keyshia Cole's Struggle Tweets
Whenever a guest visits Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club they have to be willing to keep it candid. Kelly Rowland had her turn in the hot seat and opened up about a bunch of topics, including her new album, what she likes in the bedroom, and Keyshia Cole's never-ending struggle.
Regarding her forthcoming Talk A Good Game album, for which she teamed with the likes of Pharrell Williams, Boi-1da, and The Dream, Rowland couldn't be more excited--especially to work with the Radio Killah."I love Dream," she said. "He's such an R&B genius. I love him because he still has a passion and wants everything to be different and creative. He pushed me to do something different and to be completely stripped and honest on the record. I'm in love with this album."
Outside of the project their was a pit stop conversation about "Kisses Down Low," before she recounted the Super Bowl halftime show that didn't sit well with Keyshia Cole. Rowland fell short of defending Michelle Williams' performance saying, "I don't remember what happened on stage." But when questioned about Cole's jabs at Beyoncé's "Bow Down" record, she made her stance clear. "I think the silence is the best power because you don't have to say nothing, they did all the talking" Rowland explained. "Keep talking. I don't think that it's important to fire back because you['re] just fueling the fire. I just think that you don't have to do that, we too grown for that stuff."
She also gave the female race advice on how to process Bey demanding that they kiss the ring. "When you understand who you are as a woman, you can accept the record."
That was aimed at you, Keyshia Cole.

Shooters In Attempted Rick Ross Drive-By Were In A BMW
More details have emerged surrounding the attempted drive-by shooting of Rick Ross back in January. Witnesses at the scene revealed that the shooter, or shooters, that blasted at Rozay while he was driving Rolls Royce with his girlfriend in the passenger seat were in a BMW.
The Huffington Post reports:
The Fort Lauderdale police report released Thursday says witnesses saw three or four people inside an older model, burgundy- or maroon-colored BMW before the shots rang out. Neither Ross nor his girlfriend, fashion designer Shateria L. Moragne-el, were injured in the Jan. 28 attack. The bullets mostly struck nearby businesses.
The witnesses told police that the car's occupants fired out of their passenger side window at Ross's vehicle, according to the report. Police recovered 18 bullet casings.
"The witnesses ducked for cover in their vehicle due to the rapid gunfire, but were able to see the vehicle flee eastbound," the report says.
The report also says that Ross was armed with a loaded 9mm semiautomatic handgun located in his waistband. Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, did not draw the gun. The police report also notes that Ross has a suspended concealed weapon permit.
Police are reviewing video from 20 surveillance cameras in the area for clues. The footage has not been made public.
A couple of weeks ago it was revealed that Ross was in possession of a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun during the incident. However, he was too busy driving to pull the gun and return fire.
Currently, the "MC Hammer" rapper is dealing with the backlash to a lyric that condones date r@pe in a verse he dropped Rocko's "U.N.E.N.O." Just yesterday, protesters gathered at the Reebok store in New York City to demand that the sneaker company sever ties with the MMG rapper.
Trayvon Martin's Parents Settle Wrongful Death Suit, $1 Million Payout Expected
The parents of Trayvon Martin have settled a wrongful death lawsuit, the Orlando Sentinel reports. Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton are expected to receive a $1 million payout in the agreement.
According to legal documents made public Friday (April 5), Martin family lawyer, Benjamin Crump, filed the paperwork. In the five pages released, settlement figures were blacked out. The names of the parties dispersing the money to the Martin family were also retracted.
As stated in the settlement agreement, neither Crump nor Martin's parents will speak on the dollar amount. "I have no comment on that subject," he said. "I know you did not get that from me."
Martin, 17, was gunned down by George Zimmerman last February. The high school student was walking back to the home of his father's girlfriend leading up to the run-in that cut his life short. Zimmerman noted Martin as looking suspicious, and not belonging in the neighborhood. The two exchanged words, but why the former neighborhood watch captain shot the youngster is up for interpretation.
Zimmerman asserts that he fired out of self-defense after Martin allegedly broke his broke his nose, but faces second-degree murder for the act.
Since his death, Martin's parents have remained in the public eye keeping their son's memory alive and seeking legal retribution for the tragedy. Last August Fulton was named in an insurance claim filed against the Retreat at Twin Lakes homeowners association, which is where the shooting took place. Traveler Casualty and Surety, the company insuring the association, responded by filing a counter suit against Fulton asking for clarification of liability. The counter suit was dropped a few months later.
Zimmerman's lawyer, Mike O'Mara, revealed that Martin's parents were offered $1 million to settle but refused the amount.
Crump also intends to file a suit against Zimmerman whose murder trial begins in June.

Do Jada Pinkett & Will Smith Have An Open Marriage? "I've Always Told Will: You Can Do Whatever You Want," Says Jada
Rumors that Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith have an open marriage have been around for years. In a new interview with Huffpost Live, Jada seems to confirm those rumors.
"I think people get that idea because Will and I are very relaxed with one another," Jada said. "From how I've answered questions. 'Girl, what would you do if he came home [with another woman]?' My answer is, I've always told Will: You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay. Because at the end of the day Will is his own man. I'm here as his partner, but he is his own man. He has to decide who he wants to be and that's not for me to do for him. Or vice versa."
The couple has been married for fifteen years and have two children, Jaden, 14, and Willow, 12.
"I don't think it's easy to be married to anyone," Pinkett Smith told HuffPost Live. "I think that you have to go into a relationship knowing. Especially when you're dedicating yourself to someone for the rest of your life, this is a life partnership."
Whatever works I guess.

According to TMZ, Bosh's kids, another teenager and two babysitters were in the home at the time of the burglary, but none of them heard a thing.
Police say the thieves took their time and handpicked all of the items they wanted. Bosh's championship ring was spared.
The player and his wife, Adrienne, were out celebrating his 29th birthday at the time of the break in. When they got home they realized their closet had been ransacked. Bosh contacted his security director and his assistant. Police were called at 12:30 a.m.

Talib Kweli Says Rick Ross Is A 'Misguided 40-Year Old' Who Should Apologize For Rape Lyrics. Protest Planned By UltraViolet At Reebok's NYC Store On April 4th Demanding Ross Be Dropped [Video]
Veteran emcee Talib Kweli has joined the growing list of people taking Rick Ross to task over his lyrics in the song “U.O.E.N.O.”
Ross raps about slipping molly into his date's drink, then taking her home for sex without her consent.
“Put molly all in her champagne / She ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that / She ain’t even know it," Ross raps in the song.
The rapper later offered up an apology that many didn't believe was sincere.
“Woman is the most precious gift known to man. And there was a misunderstanding with a lyric…a misinterpretation where the term rape was used. I would never use the term rape, you know, in my lyrics. And as far as my camp, hip hop don’t condone that, the streets don’t condone that, nobody condones that," said Ross.
In an interview with Huffpost Live, Kweli criticized the MMG CEO for his lyrics in the song. He added that he wasn't buying Ross' apology.
"I don't care if Rick Ross is 40 years old. He's a misguided 40-year-old person," Talib said. "Rick Ross condoned rape in that song and he should apologize. His apology that he offered was unacceptable."
As previously reported, the anti-sexism group UltraViolet, started a petition urging Reebok to drop Ross
The group has taken it's demands one step further. They are now going to bring their petition with 71,763 signatures to Reebok's flagship store in New York City, 420 5th Ave, in Manhattan on Thursday (April 4th) to protest in person according to a press release.
Following on the heels of a week of controversy over Reebok’s silence on their spokesman Rick Ross’ new song in which he brags about drugging and raping a woman, UltraViolet members are planning to deliver 71,763+ petitions to the company’s flagship NYC store demanding the company fire him. The Reebok spokesman’s response that in not using the word “rape” he is off the hook has only escalated complaints that he does not fit Reebok’s image.
“In remaining silent, Reebok is using it’s brand to promote rape,” said Nita Chaudhary, co-founder of UltraViolet. “Reebok and Rick Ross have crossed a line— not only does Ross brag about drugging and raping a woman, he is pushing the idea that if you don’t use the word ‘rape’ it doesn’t count. We are fed up and disgusted with Reebok, and Thursday we will bring this fight to their front steps.”
The protest will also feature dozens of women in running bibs with the number “71,763” and signs reading “Hey Reebok— Want my business? Stop promoting rape. Drop Rick Ross.”

Chris Brown Freestyles Over 'Started From The Bottom' & Speaks On Dissing Drake On 'R.I.P.' Remix "I'm Gonna Keep Coming N*gga" [Video]
Chris Brown addressed his Drake diss on Young Jeezy's "R.I.P." remix for the first time today while visiting Sway in the Morning.
“It's rap man. It’s hip-hop. It’s not gonna escalate. It’s like kiddie rap right now. So as far as what I'm doing I’d rather put my frustrations and whatever I gotta say out in my music ’cause I know nothing finna happen, so I say whatever I want. Rebuttals just gonna be stupid. I’m not a rapper, so you gonna be stupid rapping back to a singer. But I’m gonna keep coming n*gga, I don’t care. It's all good, I aim for the top," Chris said.
Sway then threw on Drake's "Started From the Bottom" instrumental for Chris to spit a few bars over.
Styles P On Kanye West & Lil Wayne Wearing Female Clothing: "They Have To Remember There's A Fan Base Of Men Who Have Sons" [Video]
There has been a growing movement by certain influential rap artists that are starting to wear women's clothing. Styles P of The Lox doesn't think it's cool.
As the father of a 14-year old son he says he might lose his cool if his kid came home wearing a Kanye West-type skirt.
The problem P sees with certain rappers is that they don't offer messages to counter some of the things they say or do that might have a negative impact on the culture.
"When these guys do wear skirts or their clothes that look like female's clothes, I think they have to understand the impact they have on our culture," explained Styles. "And I can't knock them because I talk mad gangster sh*t. So I have to remember at times to balance out. Or remember to say this to the people. Do positive sh*t, go to school, eat healthy, don't go to jail, leave gangster-ism alone. They have to remember that there's a whole fan base of men out there who have sons that's looking like 'damn, Kanye just blew my sh*t. Damn, Wayne just blew my sh*t.'"
