Jadakiss Takes Stage in Swaziland Despite Anti-government Protests

Jadakiss finds himself in the news after the New York rapper performed in Swaziland, Southern Africa on Saturday night, amid protest from a youth group that pushed fans to boycott the event.

The show was to benefit the Prince Lidani Foundation, an organization named after the country's King Maswati III.

Despite demonstrations from the Swaziland Youth Congress group, who called for a boycott of the show to protest the king, The LOX rapper refused to cancel his performance, and took the stage as scheduled.

According to reports, less than 500 people attended the event, and spokesman Mxolisi Nghamphalala for the Swaziland Youth Congress called the boycott a success.

“We have no problem with Jadakiss personally, we have a problem with taxpayers' money being used to organize activities of this kind,” Nghamphalala said. “Jadakiss performed and he got his money.”

Jadakiss didn't travel all the way to Africa to leave without getting paid. They don't play that in Yonkers.
