Young Money President Gives Reason For Carter IV Delay
To the dismay of many Lil Wayne fans, it was announce last week that Weezy would be pushing back the release date on his much anticipated LP Tha Carter IV to June. According to Young Money president Mack Maine, the album will be better because of it.
“He's still perfecting a few things, he's a perfectionist ... changing a few lines," Mack Maine recently told MTV News. "We also have a huge record that wasn't done yet. We're in L.A. right now. We have a little studio time and it should be done probably by Monday."
Collaborations also played a major part in the delay, according to Mane.
If you calculate all of that, by the time we would've finished mixing, we wouldn't have met the [original] due date to turn in the album," he added. "So we had to push it back."
Tha Carter IV is now scheduled to his shelves June 21.
