It wasn't much of a surprise, but i'm sure it didn't make it an easier pill to swallow.
Last month the news broke that NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and his wife of almost 11 years Vanessa were getting divorced.
Without having a prenup in place, Kobe was set to lose half of his assets.
But what exactly is half you say?
Well today TMZ reports that in a divorce property settlement just reached, Vanessa is walking away with $75 million which equals roughly half of Kobe's estimated $150 million fortune.
Included in that settlement are three mansions located in the Newport Beach area. Vanessa gets the estate the couple was living in, the estate her mom is living in, and she gets the new estate that had been under construction for 2 years and was just completed.
Vanessa has filed for joint legal and physical custody of their two children, Natalia, 8, and Gianna, 5, court documents show.
She has hired noted divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has worked with Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and, most recently, Maria Shriver and Kim Kardashian.
Kobe, who filed his response to the divorce minutes after Vanessa filed her petition, says he will pay her spousal support.
The couple released a joint statement saying they have resolved all issues privately, with the assistance of counsel.
A final settlement is not expected to be filed in Orange County Superior Court until next year.
