A week ago, we ran the story of Pill's Twitter rant which was based on his displeasure with his current record label situation. Now Pill has hit MTV News with word that he was never actually signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group.
"I never signed any paperwork with Ross. It was just my deal was over at Warner already," says Pill.
While Pill appeared on MMG's, Self Made Vol. 1, he stated that he was unhappy with the lack of promotional push he received following the compilation's release. In addition, he relayed that he is still cool with everyone in Maybach Music Group, but he did note that there was a lack of communication between him and Rozay.
"I don't got nothing against Ross," said Pill, before adding, "I just don't talk to him. I ain't really got too much to say to somebody that ain't got nothing to say to me. I'm not a brown nose, I'm not a punk @ss n**ga and I'm not finna to go try to chase behind somebody that ain't saying nothing to me. I holla at who holla at me, straight up and down. "
The Warner Bros. Records distributed Maybach Music Group enjoyed a very successful 2011 thanks to the aforemention Self Made Vol. 1 and Wale's sophomore album Ambition. There were also mixtape releases from Ross in late 201o (Ashes To Ashes), Wale and Meek Mill. Just before we entered 2012, Rozay has announced the release of a new mixtape, Rich Forever, on Jan. 6th at 3:05pm. Meek Mill also plans to drop his highly anticipated debut album following the release of his Dreamchasers 2.0 mixtape.
It remains to be seen, what Ross' thoughts are on the matter, but for now here are Pill's.
