J. Cole Stopped Diddy From Stepping To Kendrick Lamar Over "Control" Verse?

This J. Cole vs. Sean "Diddy" Combs fiasco only is only getting crazier as more details are revealed. Reportedly, the entire fracas popped off because an inebriated Diddy wanted to confront Kendrick Lamar over his "Control" verse.

What we know for sure is that Diddy, and Jay Z, hosted a MTV VMA's afterparty at the Dream Downtown in NYC on Sunday, August 25. Both Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, as well as artists like Timbaland and French Montana, we in attendance. After that is when the various accounts start getting dicey.

Initial reports were that the Bad Boy founder and Roc Nation rapper got into an altercation, with witnesses saying that the latter made some "inappropriate" remarks to the former and his girlfriend Cassie that led to pushing and shoving. Both Cole and Diddy took to Twitter to say not to believe what was being written, though Mr. Combs did acknowledge that he and the North Carolina MC were yelling at each other.

Now Complex reports that the altercation started because Diddy wanted to step to Kendrick Lamar about "Control," where he claims he is the new "King Of New York." Their sources say Diddy was drunk and attempted to pour a drink of K. Dot's head before Cole tried to stop him. This is allegedly caused the two to begin arguing which escalated when Cole supposedly put his hands on Diddy.

Got that?

Clearly, the only people that know what really happened are J. Cole and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Also, whoever was in the vicinity with a camera phone let us all down.

Lil Scrappy Arrested After Fight At An Atlanta Gas Station "I Had To Lay Them Paws On Him"

Lil Scrappy ran afoul of the law again Tuesday (August 27). The Love & Hip Hop star was arrested at a gas station after getting into a fight with a man he said disrespected his girlfriend, according to TMZ.



An off duty cop happened to be outside the station when someone called 911 about a brawl around 2:30 AM. The officer was able to separate Scrappy and the other man, identified as Kenny Rogers.


Both men were arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to a nearby police station. The rapper was released the same day.



"He was calling my girlfriend names and then put his hands on me. So I had to lay them paws on him," Scrappy told TMZ.

The rapper's lawyer, Mawuli Mel Davis, says there is video proof that his client was acting in self defense.



Scrappy, who is already on on probation stemming from a 2008 felony marijuana and gun possession case, went to jail in March after an arrest warrant was issued when he refused to submit a new urine test following a dispute over the first one. When he went back to court in May, he tested positive for marijuana.



He subsequently checked into rehab for an addiction to weed.

Drake & Jay Z to Appear on Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience Part 2

After taking over the VMAs this past Sunday, Justin Timberlake made a stop by Hot97 to visit Angie Martinez and cover a few burning subjects.

He talked about the VMAs and the Miley controversy, but mainly confirmed that Drake andJay Z were set to appear on his upcoming album, The 20/20 Experience Part 2.

Justin explained the new Jay track was recorded in the same three-week period as "Suit & Tie" and his features on Magna Carta Holy Grail.

"Drake and I have been trying to get at each other about doing a record, and I think we'll probably do more as time goes on as well," Justin explained before adding: "He killed it."

He ended the on-air conversation stating not to expect a long musical break like his previous six year hiatus.

Justin Timberlake is coming to Miley Cyrus' defense after her MTV Video Music Awards performance that caused some backlash among some fans and critics.

JT gave an interview today to radio station Fresh 102.7 and said everyone should just lighten up.

“Listen, man, you know, it’s the VMAs. What did you guys expect?,” Justin said. “I like Miley. I like her a lot. I think, you know, she’s young. She’s letting everyone know that she’s growing up. I just think it’s the VMAs. It’s not like she did it at the GRAMMYs. Let her do her thing. You know?”

Jhené Aiko is recovering after being injured in a car accident in Los Angeles on Monday (August 26th). The singer suffered a broken wrist, chipped tooth and had to get stitches to close a chin wound. Her daughter was also in the car, but fortunately was not injured.

She took to Twitter to post a photo of herself (up top) in the hospital and to thank fans for their support.

I get to go home …. just a broken wrist , chipped tooth and stitches in my chin," she wrote. "most importantly Nami is ok , not a scratch … as she was also in the car , in the backseat with me . Due to her injuries, a scheduled show at LSU this Wednesday (August 28th) has been cancelled.

From interrupting Kanye‘s departure from Hot 102.7 in Michigan one fateful afternoon, to rapping his way to a record deal, to the rapid fire flows he lends to his counterparts’ albums, it seems apparent that Big Sean is on a fast track to legendary. In his opinion, he’s got a long way to go. With platinum plaques, Grammy nominations, a superstar girlfriend and the catalog to back up his braggadocios raps, to some,Hall of Fame may be premature, but he prefers to see it as a foreshadowing.



“I’m still young but, you know, it’s crazy going from the level I went from to the level I was at. Say you found somebody freestyling on the street right now. And they’re a kid. Then, in a matter of a few years, he’s on songs with Jay-Z. That’s a long way. It takes a lot of improving and getting better at making things happen.”









The issue will hit newsstands on August 29th and will be available nationwide on September 3rd.

Drake Being Sued By Former Stylist For $76,000 In Unpaid Bills

Drake has been hit with a lawsuit by a former stylist who claims the rapper stiffed him out of $76,490.


According to TMZ, Drizzy hired stylist Michael Raphael in August 2012 at a rate of $39,583 a month. Services included styling, clothing and graphic design for Drake's company OVO, brand direction and photography.

Additional expenses not included in their deal were incurred by Raphael when he had to shell out money out of his own pockets for items that included travel expenses, stores like Nike, Diesel, American Rag and several boutiques.

The rapper paid his bills to Raphael regularly up until December 2012, when the payments suddenly stopped. That month the stylist says he spent $76,490. He's suing Drake for the amount owed.



According to the report, Drake's use of stylists is nothing new. He regularly spends$30,000 a month employing them. In addition he spends thousands more on jewelry and clothing

Adult Film Industry Screeches To A Halt After Actress Cameron Bay Tests Positive For HIV [Video/Pics]

The adult film actress who caused a temporary shutdown of porn production after she tested positive for HIV had the results confirmed.

The 28-year-old porn star, who goes by the name Cameron Bay, tested positive for the virus this week after an earlier screening for sexually transmitted diseases came back inconclusive, the adult news site AVN Media Network reported.

The Free Speech Coalition, an industry trade group, said that additional testing confirmed the positive results.

“We are saddened to report that the tests involving performer Cameron Bay have been confirmed as positive for HIV,” the group said..

“As difficult as this news is for me today, I am hopeful that no other performers have been affected,” Bay said in a release.

“I plan on doing everything possible to assist the medical professionals and my fellow performers. Following that, my long term plan is to take care of myself and my health.”

Mark Schechter, owner of Adult Talent Managers LA, which represents Bay, said the porn actress’s “courage should be lauded.”

“Cameron is obviously distraught over this conclusive information,” he said, adding that the actress has been cooperative with medical personnel.

“Cameron has been a model citizen acting responsibly at this most difficult time.”

The HIV scare prompted a moratorium on adult filmmaking after the Free Speech Coalition called for a halt to porn production.

The shutdown also sparked concern for Anthony Weiner’s sexting pal Sydney Leathers, who shot her first adult film with Xander Corvus, the last actor to work with Bay before she tested positive for HIV, Gawker reported.

Leathers, 23, told the website that she and Corvus, who played the sex-crazed politician in the newly released “Weiner and Me,” were tested before they filmed the Vivid Entertainment video and were deemed “healthy.”

 

Leathers also told the Daily News on Thursday that she’s confident she did not contract HIV and has tested negative for the virus three times.

“I do not have HIV and have not been exposed to HIV, regardless of the reports out there saying otherwise,” she told The News.

“I took all the necessary precautions ... and acted responsibly.”
