Shyne Creates Petition In Hopes To Grant His Return To The United States

On The White House page, Shyne is seeking 25,000 signatures in hopes to consider granting the deported rapper a visa.

Rapper Shyne has been deported from the United States since October of 2009. It was at that time that the former Bad Boy Records sensation was released from Woodbourne Correctional Facility after eight-plus years served for two counts of assault, gun possession and other charges. The conviction stemmed from a 1999 New York City nightclub shooting where Shyne was with Bad Boy CEO Diddy and singer/actress Jennifer Lopez.

Since late 2009, Shyne has been living in his native Belize. During this time, Shyne signed a new contract with Def Jam Records, for a reported seven-figure contract. Last week, Shyne created a petition on the White House's page, seeking a grant for a United States visa. The former Brooklyn resident is seeking 25,000 signatures in hopes of re-entering the U.S. Shyne, who converted to Judaism while in prison, is asking for the visa on the basis of good behavior and community service since his conviction.

Sean Garrett Owes Over $700,000 In Taxes

Sean Garrett joins the growing group of artists who owe money to Uncle Sam.

Though Sean Garrett may have written hits for the likes of Ciara, Nicki Minaj, and countless others, he apparently hasn't found a way to pay his taxes.

TMZ reports that Garrett owes the back taxes for the years 2006 and 2007, totaling $732,553.57.

The report further provides that BMI, which collects Garrett's royalties, to garnish the singer/songwriter's wages.

Garrett inked a deal with Roc Nation/Columbia in 2010, after it was widely reported that he was signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Records. Garrett had worked on Nicki Minaj's "Massive Attack," which was featured on the rapper's debut album, Pink Friday.

Garrett has produced an astonishing 15 number one singles in his career.

Lil Wayne & Drake Refuse To Pay $400,000 For Missed Club Appearance

Lil Wayne and Drake say they never knew about a club appearance that led to a lawsuit.

Lil Wayne and Drake are refusing to pay a $400,000 judgment to a company named Imperial Entertainment Group that sued them for missing a club appearance because they say they never knew about it.

According to TMZ, the Young Money rappers have banned together to fight the judgment, which totals $432,337.50. IEG claims that they originally booked the pair for an appearance in 2011 but they bailed on their committment.

Wayne and Drake say that they were never told about the appearance, never signed contracts and were never given papers to show up in court. They also state that IEG booked them through a third party that didn't have the authority to do so.

The rappers are seeking to have the judgment dismissed.

Mixtape Release Dates: Tito Lopez, Shawnna, Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa

While Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y put the finishing touches on their collaborative mixtape, Tito Lopez gears for "The Hunger Game," and it's the return of Shawnna.

Two of Hip Hop's famous stoners announced this week that they would be joining forces yet again. Curren$y advised that he and Wiz Khalifa are practically done with their mixtape. Back in 2009, the two dropped How Fly, but this next project won't be the sequel and it definitely won't bear the same title. No date yet or title, just like Childish Gambino's upcoming mixtape and that three-wayBig Sean, J. Cole, Meek Mill mixtape coming. Twista has a title though, and it's Twista Reloaded, but no date either. Fear not, though, there are some firm dates. Dr. Dre's find Tito Lopez gears for The Hunger Game on June 14th. Lopez has been making noise all over the industry, so this mixtape will be sure to pop. DTP's retiree Shawnna plans for She's Alive dropping June 19th with Scrilla's The Demonstration. June should be interesting. More dates to come.
