"I wrote this record to show all the young kings in the struggle where I been, the pain I felt, that I'm just like them. Look at me.You can do anything if you put your mind too it. Don't be afraid." About the mixtape he says "As I got to the end of the mixtape I knew that each song was a story of my life being raised in East St. Louis and St. Louis. That's how I came up with the name 2 Sides 2 My Story. My financial circumstances were different in each city, which made struggles in each city different. In East St. Louis I was borderline poor, so my struggle there gave me ambition, heart and that grind. When I moved to St. Louis I had a little more money, so my struggle there gave me the ability to network and the hustle to make more money in order to live with a certain standard. So both cities play a major role in how I move."

"As he started getting more known as a player, the girls all figured it out and that's when the trouble started. So I tried to write the song form the guys perspective and thats how it came about." That hunger is hard to maintain when you've got your feet up and you're chillin. I see it like those old WWF hardcore champ matches. You gotta defend your belt 24/7 when it comes to other people in your weight class. When you move up in the ranks, and your headed to the hall of fame, then you can take a breath. It's just more fun to me.

Benzino pictured with his mother Mary Scott

Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz issued a statement that said the victim was taken to South Shore Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

State Police Spokesman David Procopio said an argument between family members sparked the shooting. A person driving a Bentley shot the driver of red Dodge SUV. The shooting victim exited his car. A passerby took him to the Duxbury Police Department. He was later transported to the hospital.

The shooter was arrested and charged with armed assault with intent to murder. The police have not released the name of the shooter or the victim,

Benzino, real name Raymond Scott, has been in the music business since 1984. He's recorded with The Almighty RSO, Made Men and others.

The rapper is also known for past feuds with Eminem, 50 Cent, Julia Beverly of Ozone Magazine and Kim Osario of The Source.

**UPDATE**

Channel 7 News WHDH is now reporting that Benzino was shot by his 36-year old nephew, Gai Scott. Benzino suffered several gunshot wounds and is hospitalized in stable condition.

Family members say the two have had issues with each other for some time. After the shooting the rest of the family continued on to the funeral. Father William Williams noticed blood on the hearse when it arrived

"I said to one of the guys: 'There's blood on the hearse.' There was an incident along the way," Williams said. "The family was there. They were mourning somebody they loved who died so they didn't want to talk cops and robbers."

Because the original hearse was now a part of a crime scene another one had to called out after the funeral to transport Mary Scott's body.

Gai Scott will be arraigned Monday in Plymouth District Court

Papoose Says He's More Gifted Than Jay Z "More Power To Him, But He's Not Better Than Me."

“Nobody is better than me — Jay-Z, nobody,” Pap told the New York Daily News. “None are more lyrically inclined than me. None of them. I’m definitely the king of New York. I am the greatest out of New York. When I look in the mirror, I don’t see Jay Z — I see Papoose. More power to him, but he’s not better than me. My pen game is the most immaculate. I bring the most to the table on every level, concept, substance.”

Pap is anxiously waiting for his wife, Remy Ma, to be released from prison on July 31. A day he understandably says will be "very special" for him.

In the meantime he plans to continue putting out new music.

“I’m going to release a body of music every month. I don’t feel like there’s no artist out there doing that," he added

Rick Ross Talks Personal Doobie Roller On Chelsea Lately [VIDEO]

Rick Ross stopped by Chelsea Lately Thursday night (March 27) for a lighthearted sit-down, where theMastermind rapper talked about his new personal blunt-roller assistant, among other things.

Chelsea Handler began the interview by stroking The Bawse's ego and complimenting his beard and body. Ross touched on his new album and briefly commented on his beef with 50 Cent, before the host wittily turned their encounter into a funny one. The rapper then found himself talking about extending his Wingstop franchise and hiring a green-eyed beauty, who specializes in rolling blunts, as his personal assistant.

"This chick I met -- she actually was at a dispensary -- had beautiful green eyes. She was just rolling them perfectly," gloated Ross. "I said 'Wow, come do that for me.'"

Geto Boys' Bushwick Bill Speaks On Dying & Coming Back To Life [VIDEO]

Nardwuar today brings us another humorous episode featuring Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys. In it we find out the rapper once died and came back to life.

The self-proclaimed breakdancing genius, who was into graffiti, b-boying and deejaying before he ever found out he could rap, admits he started out as a dancer in New York at the "Swatch Watch" competition (whatever that is). After explaining the covers on a few vintage vinyls, the Jamaican MC reveals he's the only person in the world with both a birth and death certificate.

"Yeaaa. When I lost my eye, I died in June 19, 1991 at approximately 4:35. And I didn't come to [life] 'til [I was] in the morgue after 7 o'clock.

Once the pint-sized lyricist resurrected, he urinated on the cop that was standing beside his casket. Because who doesn't have to use the bathroom after a good night's rest,

No Malice Exclaims That There Won't Be A New Clipse LP [VIDEO]

Who knew that Clipse's No Malice and Pusha T loved to pull at fans' heartstrings? The likelihood of new album from the Virginia duo has been the topic of discussion for some time, but the older of the brothers Thorton laid that to rest during a discussion with RapZilla at SXSW in Austin, Tex.

"People keep asking me about this Clipse album. I've been very clear. I've been very consistent from the beginning. I don't know why I have to keep answering this question, but I don't do that music anymore," No Malice said in a fit of frustration.

Citing that monotony isn't a sign of growth, the Virginia native explained that he never plans to make another Clipse project. Sorry guys.

Like past times he's spoken on hitting the studio with his brother again, fans are probably holding on to that last ounce of hope that No Malice is bluffing. But here's some advice folks. Build a bridge and get over the idea of another Clipse LP ever releasing.

Besides, with No Malice clearly in a different head space (much different than his previous religious disposition), the project wouldn't be comparable to the duo's classics from yesteryear anyway.

Beyoncé & Jay Z Perform At Final "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" Show [VIDEO]

Beyoncé closed a year long chapter in her life last night at the "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" closer in Lisbon, Portugal. The packed out MEO Arena was treated to a surprise, as Jay Z came out to perform he and his wife's mega hit "Drunk In Love."

It's a movie each time the married couple give a live rendition of the Detail-produced record. But this time was a bit more special, since it marks the end of tour that hit North America, South America, Europe, and Australia during a whopping 132 show journey that began April 2013.

Needless to say the Queen Bey was emotional. "This has been an incredible tour," she began as tears began to well up. "We started a year ago, and I wanna say this has been such a journey. In the past year, we've been through so much together, the Super Bowl, shooting the videos, all of these shows."

Beyoncé would go on to thank her fans for supporting her throughout the years, as her band backed her. See footage of the songstress and hubby Jay Z performing "Drunk In Love

Within minutes the car was being hauled off. Sean and his crew tried to argue that payments on the vehicle were current, but the repo crew wasn't having it.

Sean left the hotel without his ride. He was spotted later at a club in another ride.

Pastor Ma$e's Parishioners Say He's A Fake Who Used The Church To Further His Rap Career

Ma$e or Pastor Mason Betha, as he's known in church has straddled the fence between being a preacher and a rapper for years now and some of his parishioners are fed up with it.

According to TMZ, Ma$e is being accused of being a fraud who has used the church to further his career as a rapper.

From day one he's preached about the virtues of marriage and cited his 12-year union to Twyla Betha as an example of how following his word would help mend his church goer's marital problems. He's even written a book series entitled What Do You Do After I Do.

Despite filing for divorce in January, then withdrawing the legal documents several week later, Ma$e has continued to counsel members about the sanctity of marriage, but has never addressed his own problems.

Parishioners believe that's just another example of the pastor being a hypocrite. They are discussing no longer funding his El Elyon International Church, which has locations in Atlanta and Phoenix.
