The Yardfather gives his take on the beef with Joe Budden, and working with him in the future.
This may come as a surprise to fans, as the two emcees were beefing as recently as 2009.
It seems, however, that Saigon is over the beef, and would like both artists' talents into the studio. In an interview with conspiracyworldwide.podomatic.com, Saigon addressed the matter.
"It wasn't really no beef. That's rap. That's rap industry stuff. I wouldn't really consider it a beef. We both grown men, and it wasn't no sense to keep bickering back and forth. He made a statement that he'd be willing to work, and I said, 'Let's make it happen!'"
When asked whether the beef was fake, Saigon responded, "It wasn't fake, like we planned it...when I said it was fake, I meant it wasn't like I was gonna shoot someone. The kind of beef, where I come from, like Big said: 'Beef is when your moms ain't safe up in the street.' That's beef."
"When the records were going back and forth, we got in touch with eachother, like, 'Yo, what we gonna do? We gonna do this shit, or we gonna handle it like men?' I said...'All this showin' off for the crowd and insulting one another ain't doin' nothin' for me.'"
Currently, Saigon has no specific plans to record with Budden, who recently signed to Shady Records as a member of Salughterhouse.
