Amy Winehouse Bought Crack And Heroin The Night Before She Died, 'Friend' Claims
A friend of Amy Winehouse has come forward to admit that he helped her buy drugs the night before she died.Tony Azzopardi, a 56-year-old who says he was a friend of Winehouse's, said he met her outside of a bar called the Eagle, at 11:30PM on Friday, July 22nd.
Azzopardi said she looked good, clean and had filled out a little bit, but she purchased $2000 worth of crack and heroin that night and that was the last time he saw her.
The alleged friend claims that the dealer they both knew and met up with that night is locally known and could harm him. "I want Amy's family to know the truth about what happened. I want to help them out -- but I'm worried about my safety."
While her family claimed alcohol withdrawal as a possible cause of death, and a former hairdresser insisted she was indeed back on intoxicants, the toxicology reports will be in soon. Watch the clip.
