Pusha-T Takes Jab at Consequence
Sh*t just got real for Consequence. After declaring a one-man crusade against Kanye's squad, the unthinkable has happened:G.O.O.D. Music has finally fired a warning shot, and the gunman is Pusha T.
Say what you will about Cons' relevancy: Dude is a spitter. His verse on "Grammy Family" was easily one of 2006's best. But even with his years of experience and heart set on vengeance the latest development in this war of words begs the question -- does Consequence REALLY want it with Push?
Pusha may very well be the Tupac of G.O.O.D. Music, and even though that's like being the toughest kid at Catholic School, it's no reason to rule him out once you understand the label's design. Rather than be distracted by Hip Hop horseplay, G.O.O.D. artists prefer to work: Releasing pop, introspective, or soulful albums, it isn't your typical goon factory. Like Charles Xavier's Mutant Academy, it's a rest haven for the talented and gifted.
Pusha is a different breed. A born rebel, his music remains rough around the edges. His diss toward Cons on Ace Hood's "Go N Get It" Remix was more of a warning shot than challenge, but even those few bars left the door open just wide enough for return fire, which is just what Cons needs.
