Arrest Made In Connection With Mazaradi Fox's Death. Police Say He Was Killed By A Man Who Suspected Fox Was Involved In The Murder Of His Brother 16 Years Ago.

New York police have made an arrest in connection with the shooting death of former G-Unit affiliate Mazaradi Fox.

According to the New York Daily News, 35-year old Jamal Scott was taken into custody earlier today and charged with second-degree murder for the January 3rd shooting death of Fox. Scott has also been charged with four counts of attempted murder and felony assault for firing shots into the SUV Fox was riding in, injuring three additional people.

Scott is the older brother of a man who was killed in 1998. He reportedly blamed Fox, real name Jamal Green, for having something to do with it.

Curtis Scott was 21-years old when he was shot above his left eye and killed outside South Jamaica Queens' Baisley Park Houses on July 7, 1998. Jamal was with his brother at the time of his death.

Mazaradi's girlfriend told the Daily News she can't understand why Scott waited so long to to avenge his brother's death.

"(The shooting) was almost 16 years ago. Jamal didn't pull the trigger. He didn't shoot him. He just happened to be there when it happened. This is 16 years ago and you're still harboring that? Killing Mazaradi, that's not going to bring your brother back."
