Gucci Mane Cuts Plea Deal. Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison & Fined $250K For Gun Possession Charges





Gucci Mane has struck a plea deal with federal prosecutors and will spend the next couple of years in prison.



Gucci, real name Radric Davis, pleaded guilty to being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. In exchange for the guilty plea the rapper was sentenced to three years and three months in prison. He was also fined $250,000.







According to TMZ, Gucci will get credit for 10 months of time already served. The maximum sentence for the charge without the plea deal would have been ten years.



The 1017 Brick Squad CEO, got knocked for two gun related incidents in September 2013.



On September 12 police busted him for having a Taurus 45-caliber handgun and eight rounds of ammunition. On September 14, a friend flagged down a patrol car to report that Gucci was acting erratically.



When officers approached, he reportedly cursed and threatened them with a gun. Police arrested him and found a Glock 40-caliber handgun and 11 rounds of ammunition.



He will officially be sentenced in July.
